Beyond The Gates Spoilers: Soap Announces Newest Cast Member & Offers Outline Of All “The Families” Taking Center Stage

Soap opera fans are “beyond” excited about Beyond the Gates, which is set to premiere in early 2025 on CBS. Reports reveal that production is scheduled to start next month.

Now news hits that Brandon Claybon, Sean Freeman, Timon Durrett, Marquita Goings, Trisha Mann-Grant, Maurice Johnson, Arielle Prepetit, RhonniRose Mantilla, Colby Muhammad and Ambyr Michelle, are the most recent members to join the cast.

They will be a part of the three main families who will take center stage on the soap, which include: The Thomases, The Richardsons, and The Hamiltons.

As previously reported, daytime drama vets Tamara Tunie (Anita Dupree), Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree), and Daphnee Duplaix (Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson) will star on the soap, and the newest cast are the extended families of the Duprees, as well as added characters who will make the drama spin on Beyond the Gates. Maurice Johnson plays Ted Richardson, the husband of Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson and father of Katherine “Kat” and Martin. He also happens to be an incredible plastic surgeon, leading a very exclusive private practice. Life is good for Ted and his beautiful wife … for now …

Meanwhile, Brandon Claybon is Martin Richardson, Nicole and Ted’s son, older brother of Kat, who is a congressman living outside “The Gates” in Washington, D.C. Martin aspires to be the first openly gay Black President and is happily married to his husband. The two share two adopted children with him.

Colby Muhammad is “Kat”, Ted and Nicole’s “miracle baby” who still lives with her parents in their guest house. She’s been spoiled all her life, making her entitled; however, she is very confident and is one to never doubt herself.

Sean Freeman plays the role of Andre Hamilton, the nephew of Ted Richardson. Unfortunately, Andre lost his parents in a plane crash but inherited a mass fortune. This allows him to live the fun life of a photographer.

Ted and Nicole stepped up when their nephew lost his parents, and he often leans on them for counsel and support. A playboy at heart, he is elusive at times, which has others questioning his intentions.

Bill Hamilton, played by Timon Durrett, is Dani Dupree’s ex-husband, the father to Chelsea and Naomi. He’s a publicity hound, opportunist, and narcissist – all this according to his ex-wife. He also happens to be a criminal defense attorney that is well-connected and gets what he wants by any means necessary.

His oldest daughter, Naomi, is played by Arielle Prepetit, lives in Washington, D.C., outside “The Gates” where she works as a civil attorney. She’s smart, but also shares a talent with her grandmother Anita Dupree that has bonded the two, which is singing.

Then there’s her younger sister, Chelsea Hamilton, played by RhonniRose Mantilla. A social media influencer, Chelsea is also a successful model, something she’s been doing since age 18; however, this is not her favorite pastime, just something she’s been pushed into by her mom Dani.

Chelsea has a lot of money, which has allowed her to follow her real dream – designing a purse line and building this brand.

Meanwhile, Hayley Lawson, played by Marquita Goings, is a paralegal at Bill Hamilton’s firm. She is charming, intelligent and beautiful. She also happens to be Hamilton’s new fiancé, which means there’s beef between her and Dani.

Lastly, Dana “Leslie” Thomas is played by Trish Mann-Grant. The character is a career bartender and waitress and is Eva Thomas’ mom. Dana “Leslie” is charming and easy going, and not wrapped tight or intense.

Her daughter seems disturbed by her behavior, but fans will soon see an unsettling side to Eva, who is played by Ambyr Michelle. Eva also happens to be Nicole Dupree Richardson’s new assistant, who is determined and very intense, which is possibly the reason she and her mom may clash.
