Beyond the Gates Update: New Name & Casts Three Soap Vets, Tamara Tunie, Daphnee Duplaix & Karla Mosley!

Beyond the Gates spoilers reveal that there are a few exciting new developments. The upcoming soap from CBS and the NAACP has updated its name.

Instead of The Gates, it will be called Beyond the Gates. Plus, Tamara Tunie, Daphne Duplaix, and Karla Mosley have signed on. Keep reading and let’s talk about the character descriptions as well as what else to expect!

Name Change

BTG Spoilers reveal that since the soap was announced, it was simply referred to as The Gates, However, now the soap’s name has changed just a bit. It will now be called Beyond the Gates. 

BTG Spoilers: Tamara Tunie Joins Soap

According to Daytime Confidential, Tamara Tunie has been confirmed to join the soap as a lead. Tamara was in As the World Turns, although I will always remember her from Law & Order.

Tamara will be playing the role of Anita Dupree, the matriarch of one of the core families. According to the character description, Anita was a famous singer and worked hard for her success.

Anita is now married to a senator and has two daughters. Underneath Anita’s glamorous and refined exterior lies a fierceness from her humble start in Chicago.

Daphne Duplaix Signs On

Beyond the Gates spoilers reveal that Daphnee Duplaix has also signed on. Daphnee was in both One Life to Live as well as Passions.

Daphnee will play the role of Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson. Nicole is a revered psychiatrist and one of Anita’s daughters. 

The character description teases that Nicole is a high achiever and competitive. Nicole is not only a psychiatrist, but a philanthropist as well. Nicole exudes warmth, compassion, and empathy. Nicole’s success in life extends to her surgeon husband. From the outside, it appears Nicole has the perfect life…

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Karla Mosley Is In

It is also confirmed that Karla Mosley will be in the soap as well. Karla has been in The Bold and the Beautiful as well as Guiding Light. Karla will play Anita’s other daughter, Dani Dupree. Dani is an ex-model who is now a momager.

Dani gave up her career for love and was always the wild child. Described as a free spirit, inhibited, and headstrong, Dani has always marched to the beat of her own drum.

The soaps’ description is stated as follows:
