The network has scheduled a five-part behind-the-scenes special titled, “Beyond the Gates”: Welcome to the Neighborhood”.
The special is set to air the week prior to the soap’s premiere, Monday, February 17 through Friday, February 21 at 2:00-2:30 p.m. ET and will be hosted by the ‘Entertainment Tonight’ team.
Five Special Episodes Showcasing BTG’s Journey
The ET special will be filmed on location at the BTG studio in Atlanta, and hosted by Kevin Frazier and Sheryl Underwood, from ‘The Talk’ (which ironically was canceled, and the new soap has taken the talk show’s timeslot on CBS).
The ‘Welcome to the Neighborhood’ special will offer viewers an interesting inside look inside the journey BTG has gone through to hit the airwaves, as well as its powerful representation of Black history and culture.
In addition, fans will get an inside sneak peek at the 27 sets that create the world of Fairmont Crest, as well as footage of the first table read from the cast, never-before-seen moments, on-set interviews with cast and executive producers, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.

Below is a synopsis of what each day of ‘Welcome to the Neighborhood’ will look like.
Monday, February 17 – Episode #1 – Unveiling Fairmont Crest
In the first episode of “Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood”, the new soap will introduce its cast and the creative minds behind the groundbreaking new show.
Tuesday, February 18 – Episode #2 – Creating the Cast

Episode #2 takes a deeper dive into the making of the soap, highlighting the dedication to the vision that brought this landmark new daytime drama to life.
Viewers will get more in-depth information on the “heart of Fairmont Crest”, the Dupree family, and learn about the different storylines that shape this family. This epi will also outline the process of how the powerhouse cast was assembled.
Wednesday, February 19 – Episode #3 – Fashion & Flair
In this third installment, fans get a look at the makeup, hair, and wardrobe departments of BTG, as viewers are taken on a behind-the-scenes tour.
Audiences will get the inside scoop on how these departments help shape every character (and their stories) on the show and get a sneak peek inside the wig cabinet that holds over 40 customized pieces.
Thursday, February 20 – Episode #4 – A Day in the Life
Wonder what a day in the life of shooting a new soap is all about? Well, wonder no longer as this episode gives fans a look at the rigorous filming schedule BTG follows, including shooting close to 100 pages of scenes, daily!
Friday, February 21 – Episode #5 – Sneak Peek and Guest Stars
Fans will get an exclusive look at BTG’s historic premiere. From deep secrets to high stakes and a ton of drama in between, this “sneak peek” will set the stage for what viewers should expect on the horizon.
In addition, the cast and the executive team will talk about what the audience can look forward to, and the ET Vault will be unlocked to reveal where fans may have seen some BTG stars before they hit Fairmont Crest.
In addition, “Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood” will be available to stream Live and On Demand on Paramount+. Don’t forget to catch the new soap’s official debut on Monday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
