‘Beyond The Gates’ Who Are Your Favorites After The First Week?

Beyond the Gates spoilers suggest that the new soap had an explosive first week, with rave reviews from soap opera fans everywhere. Now that the first five episodes are officially in the books, it’s time for fans to weigh in on their favorites!

Favorite Character

This might be a hard one as there are so many interesting characters on the show. Fans were introduced first to the Dupree family, and Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), as well as their eldest daughter, Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnée Duplaix), seem to be very levelheaded individuals.

The couple’s youngest daughter, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) is a bit of a wildcard, but some viewers seem to love her outrageous behavior.

Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacobs) the newest nurse at the hospital is a standout character, as well as Vanessa McBride Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli), who offered some interesting one-liners during scenes.

Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) looks like the perfect and doting stay-at-home dad, committed to his family and his congressman husband, Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon).

Many Beyond the Gates viewers loved Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit), who had no issues standing up to her no-good cheating dad this week and has seemingly taken a lot of qualities from her Auntie Nicole, versus her mom, Dani.

Favorite Villian

There’s nothing fans love more than a good old-fashioned villain, and the new CBS soap had plenty of them!

First and foremost, Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) is as manipulative and conniving as they get, and it was mentioned multiple times that his latest affair on Dani, which broke their marriage up, wasn’t the first time he cheated on her.

In addition, Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) and her daughter Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) seem like a dynamic scheming duo, so it’ll be interesting to see the reason for Leslie’s bitterness toward Nicole, in the weeks ahead.

Favorite Super Couple

As mentioned in the Beyond the Gates opener, Anita and Vernon are ‘couple goals’, who seem to be just as in love today, as they were when they first met.

Nicole and her hubby Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson) have also kept their spark alive, even after all these years, and her niece, Naomi, and her hubby, Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) make a very cute couple, as well!
