Acclaimed Emmy-winning writer Jamey Giddens is embarking on an exciting new chapter in his career. Taking to social media, the co-owner of Daytime Confidential revealed that he will soon be leaving his role at Peacock’s Days of Our Lives. He’s trading the bustling streets of Horton Town Square for more familiar terrain as he relocates closer to his roots.
The talented Atlanta-based writer and producer is set to find a new home within the Fairmont Crest community. Indeed, he’s stepping Beyond the Gates.
Goodbye Salem, Hello Atlanta And Fairmont Crest
Giddens took to his social media platforms, including Instagram, to share the exciting news about his latest venture.
The former entertainment journalist and podcaster announced, “I have some career updates to share… After nearly five incredible years in Salem, U.S.A, I’ve made a move to a new home…@beyondthegatescbs. I’m immensely thankful for my time at @dayspeacock, where I earned 4 WGA Awards and an Emmy! Now, I’m thrilled to team up with my friend @michelevaljean on her sizzling new soap! My #DAYS episodes will continue airing into early 2026, so expect to see me celebrating both shows on social media; here’s to the enduring legacy of American soap operas!”

A Reunion For Giddens And Michele Van Jean
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Giddens shared some exciting news for DAYS fans. He noted that because of the filming schedule, “My #DAYS episodes will continue airing into early 2026, so I’ll be showing love for both shows on social media for a long time!
I’m grateful for my time in Salem and excited to collaborate with my friend @MicheleValJean on her hot new show, #BeyondTheGates.”
Giddens’ move to BTG reunites him with the creator, showrunner, and executive producer, Michele Val Jean, who was part of the writing team for Ambitions, which he co-created with Will Packer.
This primetime drama ran for one season on OWN and starred actors like Robin Givens from Bold and the Beautiful, Kendrick Cross from General Hospital, and Essence Atkins from Poppa’s House.

Former Coworkers Congratulated Jamey
The supervising producer of Tyler Perry’s Sistas will be joining his former boss on BTG. Ron Carlivati, who has been the head writer for DAYS for seven years, is also part of the BTG team as a breakdown writer.
Social media was filled with love for Giddens; Cady McClain, who plays Pamela Curtis on BTG and played Jennifer Horton on DAYS during Giddens’ time, simply commented, “YAY!” on his Instagram.
Lauralee Bell from The Young and the Restless celebrated his new role with festive emojis, Lawrence Saint-Victor from B&B congratulated him with a big, “CONGRATULATIONS!!!” On X, Cherie Jimenez from DAYS expressed her excitement for Giddens, saying, “Aw yay; grateful to have had you be part of my journey thus far; congratulations love.”
