Beyond The Gates Spoilers: Why Isn’t The Soap Airing On Tuesday & Wednesday This Week?Beyond the Gates spoilers remind fans that the soap premiered mere months ago in late February. Interestingly enough, it’s the only show within the CBS daytime drama lineup that is being preempted during the week of April 28-May 2. So, what exactly is going on? We have all the details below.

Beyond the Gates Made History!

When BTG debuted on Monday, February 24 of this year, the soap made history. It was the first daytime drama since 1999 to broadcast on cable; the first soap in over 25 years to hit the airwaves.

Since, fans have fallen in love with all the larger-than-life characters in the land of Fairmont Crest.

While there will be a new episode on Monday, April 28, the show is preempted on Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30, returning to its regularly scheduled programming on Thursday, May 1 (just in time for Sweeps month).

Still, the show’s sister soaps, The Bold and the Beautiful, as well as The Young and the Restless, will still be on air during the days. So, what gives?

CBS Sports Coverage

Beyond the Gates has been pre-empted due to CBS’s coverage of the UEFA Champions League Soccer Games. The live games will also be available to stream on Paramount+. CBS will air pre-game shows and highlights, as well as game coverage.

This is the fourth year the network has aired these games. In fact, BTG will also have pre-emptions the week of May 5-9 on Tuesday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 7, returning on Thursday, May 8.

In addition, while the Y&R and B&B will air as per the usual for East Coast fans, for the West Coast, as well as the Mountain and Pacific Time Zones, these soaps will also be pre-empted, much like BTG.

      While I understand there’s a need to televise sports events I’m about to feel some type of way since this is the second time BTG is being preempted, and they’ve only been on air a couple of months! Looking forward to picking up where we left off on Monday! It’s getting good with Ted and crew 🙂

      Why couldn’t it be broadcast in early morning like is sometimes done for the other CBS soaps? I am invested in this show since its debut.
