The Bold and the Beautiful rumor mill has worked fans in to a frenzy several times over the years with whispers of John McCook’s retirement. 

Whenever the Forrester Patriarch’s health takes a turn for the worse, fans fear Eric Forrester is being killed off.  Has John McCook’s exit FINALLY arrived?

Eric Forrester Fights For His Life

Next week on B&B, promos show the Forrester Family panicking as they call 911 for Eric.  The clip shows a fierce confrontation in the Forrester Mansion living-room, Bill and Katie Spencer (Heather Tom) are arguing with Ridge Forrester and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), and Eric Forrester is smack in the middle.  Ridge’s father begins shouting about his designs and then starts clutching his chest.

This isn’t the first time that Eric Forrester’s life has been on the line in the past couple years.  The last time Eric was rushed to the hospital, Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) husband Finn managed to save the patriarch with experimental surgery. 

It’s unclear if Eric’s heart is the problem, or something else even more serious is going on with the designer.  Regardless, John McCook’s character could be back in the hospital by the end of next week.

What If Eric Does Die

John McCook hasn’t addressed the latest retirement rumors on the web.  But if Eric Forrester is going to say his farewells, that means Katie Spencer owns the last design the dressmaker ever made. 

B&B spoilers say those designs are going to be a huge storyline in upcoming weeks and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) plans to take Katie and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) to court for the ownership rights.
