Bold and the Beautiful Recap, Friday August 23: Thomas Goes Over a Cliff

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, August 23 finds tragedy for the Spencer, Forrester and Logan families. That’s because Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) has a near fatal fall while arguing with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) near a cliff. Also, Ridge is shocked over the latest turn of events while Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri) receives an apology. Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) tries to save her daughter.

It begins at Brooke’s mansion where she tells Ridge that they should go looking for Thomas. No one knows where he is or what he has on his mind. Ridge doesn’t think Thomas is as dangerous as everyone is making him out to be. Hope is there and says that she’s going to the cliffhouse to get Beth’s stuff. Ridge points out that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is having a hard time in all of this, too.

Hope tells Ridge that she told Thomas about the annulment, much to his surprise. Brooke thinks that Thomas won’t be ready for any of this. Douglas’ nanny shows up and tells them that Thomas asked him to leave Douglas with him.

Bold And The Beautiful Recap – Thomas Upset with Douglas

Over at Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) apartment, Thomas is still upset with his son for the way he messed things up between him and Hope. He blames the boy for not keeping his mouth shut. A tearful Douglas tells his father that he’s sorry. Thomas tells him that they won’t have Hope in their life anymore. Douglas says that he misses his “old” daddy. Thomas cries a little when he hears his son say this and thanks him for the reminder. He apologizes for being so awful to him.

Thomas tells Douglas that he’s been thinking so much of Hope that he forgot what’s really important for him. Thomas tells Douglas that he is going to do whatever it takes to get back Hope and get their family together again. Ridge then appears but it’s too late. Douglas tells him that his father went to go see Hope at the beach house. Ridge quickly gives Brooke a call and tells her to race to the beach house.

At the beach house, Hope takes a look at all of the clothes that were bought for Beth. She’s so happy to have her baby back. Suddenly Thomas appears. All he says is the word “annulment.” He then says that he can’t let Hope do that to him.

Bold And The Beautiful Recap – Thomas Falls Over A Cliff

Hope is angry and tells him to get out. She calls him a liar who should be ashamed of himself. Thomas defends himself and says that he deserves a chance to tell his side of the story. Hope screams that they are over and runs out side. Thomas catches up with her. He’s grabbing her by the wrist. Brooke appears and tries to pull Hope away. The moment Ridge gets there Thomas goes over a cliff.
