Nick wonders if Brooke has returned to work too soon. She professes that she’s okay, but she fears Ridge Forrester (Ron Moss) proposed to Ashley. Brooke misread the situation when she saw an engagement ring, believing Ridge had bought it for her. She was completely blindsided when Ashley walked in. Nick encourages Brooke to move on with her life just as Ridge has.

Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Nick Encourages Brooke To Move On From Rick

Brooke defends Ridge. After he punched her son in Sydney, she shouldn’t have panicked and run back to Nick. Nick says that Ridge let her down just as Nick predicted. Nick won’t allow Brooke to let Ridge off the hook. She’s been through an emotional crisis rivaling a soap opera, dealing with the custody battle and Ridge’s engagement.

She can’t stand the thought of Ashley mothering her child. Brooke says that Nick and Taylor share a baby and that bond lasts a lifetime. If Brooke had a child with Nick, he’d want her to fight to make sure that child had the best future possible. Nick fumes when Brooke vows that she won’t give up on Ridge, the father of her youngest child.

In the lab, Ashley admires the new bling on her left hand. Ridge snuggles up to his fiancée. Ashley is thrilled to give her little sister the good news, which reminds Ridge that he needs to tell R.J. and Hope Logan. Ashley is surprised that Ridge has already told Phoebe Forrester (MacKenzie Mauzy).

Rick lectures Ashley about getting engaged to his Ridge. Rick mocks the ring as obnoxious and ostentatious. She warns Rick to get with the program—she and Ridge are happy and planning a life together. She demands that he stop flirting. He says she’s sexy when she lays down the law.

Rick warns Ashley about Ridge. The reason Brooke misunderstood about the ring was that Ridge is giving her mixed signals. Ashley claims Brooke is having a hard time accepting the fact that Ridge has moved on.

Taylor congratulates Ridge on his engagement. His taste in women is improving. Ashley is a more stable and intelligent choice than Brooke. She wants him to be able to trust and count on Ashley just as she trusts and counts on Nick and their future. Taylor says that Brooke is bonkers when it comes to Ridge.
