On the Friday, November 8, 2019, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, dark skies loom over Los Angeles as Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) reads Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) a “happily-ever-after” bedtime story. He advises the baby that if you ain’t happy, it ain’t ever after. A lonely Liam calls Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and makes plans to come over. They laugh and play with Beth and Kelly (Zoe Pennington).
Liam worries about Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) attachment to Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) and desperation to get shared custody. Why would she deliberately put herself in Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) orbit after everything he did? He wonders why she’s not obsessed with her own daughter instead of Douglas.
Steffy says that, for her father’s sake, she’s trying to move past her issues with Thomas. She believes that Thomas acted out because, as a child, his father was always busy and Thomas was shuffled back and forth between Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Steffy’s mother. History is repeating itself: Ridge fell for a Logan and Thomas has too.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap – Brooke And Ridge Fight Over Douglas Custody Drama
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) surprises his wife at their home. She’s thrilled to see him until Ridge interrogates her about whether Hope is trying to convince Thomas to sign over custody of Douglas. They return to bickering about Thomas’ rights to the boy versus Thomas’ past misdeeds.
Brooke angers Ridge when she says that Thomas is incapable of raising his son and is obsessed with Hope. He refuses to believe Brooke’s story that Thomas came unhinged, getting up in her face, calling her names, and saying that he didn’t want her in Ridge’s life. She doesn’t want him near Douglas or Hope until he gets the intensive therapy he needs.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap – Hope Pushes Thomas In To Acid
When Thomas hesitates to sign the adoption papers, Hope makes one last appeal for him to let her be the mother Douglas needs. She promises that they’ll raise him together. Thomas relents, signing the papers. He confesses that he loves her and would do anything for her. Hope demands that Thomas tell her where he’s hiding Douglas. Thomas just wants to be alone with her and celebrate their new family. But Hope isn’t having it: she fears that Thomas left the child alone in a storage room.
Hope makes a break for it and runs away, searching for Douglas. Thomas chases her into the room where the hydrofluoric acid is brewing. He claims that Douglas is fine and asks her to trust him. He needs the three of them to be a family. When he grabs her and tries to kiss her, she pushes him. Thomas falls over the railing and into a vat of acid.
