The Monday, June 8, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful opens with Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) and her dog introducing Fan Choice Week. One of the most requested episodes is today’s rebroadcast of the show’s premiere on March 23, 1987.
The clock ticks as Ridge Forrester (Ron Moss) looks through his designs and prepares for a Forrester Creations fashion show. His father gets his models ready for the runway. Thorne Forrester (Clayton Norcross) is pleased that the press loves the collection. Ridge hopes that consumers will actually buy the product in August. Ridge worries that the line is flat—it needs more sex and sensuality. He tells his brother that their father is wrong about the collection.
The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers & Recap: Bill Spencer Sr. Summons Ridge
They watch Eric Forrester (John McCook) flirting with Margo Lynley (Lauren Koslow). Ridge wonders if they’ve ever made it. Thorne is irritated by his brother’s attitude. Thorne tells his dad that it’s his best collection ever and lies that Ridge agrees.
Ridge takes a call from Caroline Spencer (Joanna Johnson). They make a date. Caroline tells Ridge that she loves him. Later, Ridge fields a call he doesn’t enjoy quite so much—from Caroline’s father. Bill Spencer, Sr. (Jim Storm) summons Ridge to his office. When Ridge declines, Bill says that he’ll come to Ridge.
Katie Logan (Nancy Sloan) dreams about her teen crush falling in love with her, despite her face. Brooke runs into the house, panting for breath, her dress torn. Dave Reed (Stephen Shortridge) comes to the door and embraces Brooke. Brooke makes her sister leave while she talks to Dave, a police officer.
CBS Bold & Beautiful Recap: Dave Reed Comforts Brooke After She’s Attacked
Brooke tells Dave that she left campus on her way to work when she was grabbed on the street and thrown into a van. She fought back and got away. She begs Dave to find the men who assaulted her before they hurt her sisters. Brooke agrees to go to the station to look at mugshots.
Eric closes the show and schmoozes with the press. Ridge compliments his father on making two showings a year for twenty years. Ridge tells Eric that the line needs more sex appeal. Eric says his son needs to learn the psychology of women. Sensuality is not a short hemline, a low-cut bodice, or an ample amount of naked skin. It’s about a woman’s confidence in herself. Ridge wants to make clothes reflecting what men lust for. Eric argues that it’s the women who buy the fashion.
Bill confronts Ridge in his office, demanding that Ridge stop seeing his daughter.
Later that evening, Caroline asks what’s bothering Ridge. Ridge says that a pompous, old ass barged into his office and annoyed and intimidated him. He dodges her questions and kisses her passionately. Ridge tells Caroline that he wants her, tonight. She pushes him away. She’s waiting for the man she marries. Ridge proposes.
Katherine Kelly Lang returns to thank the fans for their loyalty and suggestions at the end of today’s Bold and Beautiful episode.
