Bold and the Beautiful Recap Monday May 18: Eric Makes Brooke’s Dreams Come True, Stephanie Vows To Get Him Back

Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester) introduces the Monday, May 18, 2020, episode of The Bold & The Beautiful and a special week of shows celebrating the character of Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang). Brooke, who has been on the show since day one, is a beautiful woman from the Valley who always follows her heart, no matter the consequences.

The show opens as Eric Forrester (John McCook) and his new bride get carried away in a hot air balloon ride over Palm Springs. Eric seems unconcerned that he dropped the map to their honeymoon destination. He tells Brooke that she’s in very capable hands. Brooke wonders where he’s taking her and where they’ll land. They touch down in the middle of the desert where two saddled horses are waiting.

They ride for miles over desert and water and discover a clearing. They tie up the horses and explore an enormous tent. He carries her over the threshold. The tent is arrayed with a bed, candles, and fireplace. Brooke thanks him for planning the perfect fairy-tale wedding and this incredible oasis in the desert. Eric knows how to make Brooke’s fantasies come true and he plans to do so for the rest of their lives.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers show Eric toasts to his wife, a new beginning, and a life filled with happiness and adventure. They look soulfully into each other’s eyes and make love in the tent.

Next on The Bold and the Beautiful, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) asks Ridge Forrester (Ron Moss) where her ex-husband was taking Brooke on their honeymoon. She’s appalled that he was acting like a middle-aged man trying to be young again. He’s old enough to be Brooke’s father. How long will it take Eric to realize that their marriage is ridiculous?

Stephanie pegged Brooke as an opportunist from the start. She believes that, initially, Ridge was the target of Brooke’s plan, but she switched horses and chose Eric when she realized she didn’t have to wait for an inheritance but could have the money from the start. Eric is gullible and has been taken in by Brooke’s lies. Stephanie vows that she and Eric are not through. Someday he will realize that he made a terrible mistake.

Ridge urges his mother to face reality and let go of Eric. They can’t bury themselves in the past but have to look forward to the future and move in new directions. As today’s CBS Bold and the Beautiful episode ends, Thorsten Kaye returns to thank the fans for watching.
