On Monday, July 6, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful kicks off Fan Favorite Showdowns week in a rebroadcast from 2003. It’s a fashion face-off between Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Ridge Forrester (Ron Moss) in Portofino, Italy. Massimo Marone (Joseph Mascolo) looks on grimly as Ridge and Eric compete in the Portofino Challenge. The audience watches from boats moored to the dock.

Bridget Forrester (Jennifer Finnegan) wants to know how Massimo is holding up as he watches Eric share the stage with Massimo’s son. Massimo is quiet.

Sally Spectra (Darlene Conley), Darla Einstein (Schae Harrison), and Clark Garrison (Daniel McVicar) groove to the music as the models strut down the dock in elegant dresses. Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) greets Sally. Sally hopes that Stephanie has come to concede double-defeat on the wager Stephanie made against her own son.

Macy Alexander (Bobbie Eakes) says goodbye to Thorne Forrester (Winsor Harmon). He begs her to stay. Thorne promises never to let her down again. Macy admits that she’s never stopped loving him. Thorne says they belong together and the biggest mistake he ever made was doubting it.

Lorenzo Barelli (Luigi Amodeo) bursts in, announcing that Thorne is lying to Macy. Thorne doesn’t really love Macy. Lorenzo reminds Macy that, when she came to him, she was empty and broken from Thorne’s betrayal. He begs her to leave with him. Her father is waiting. Macy has a choice to make. Macy locks eyes with a distraught Thorne.

Ridge congratulates his father for organizing the challenge and helping Ridge get back on his feet. They embrace. Ridge’s brightly-colored gowns are a stark contrast to Eric’s muted line.

Ridge thanks Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) on behalf of his son for her moving tribute. Brooke didn’t have the chance to pay her respects at the funeral. Brooke hopes it’s a new beginning for them. Ridge agrees that it just might be.

The audience laughs as an enormous banner of Sally is unveiled. A model wearing Ridge’s showstopper wedding gown appears from behind the banner. Sally thanks Ridge for his spectacular design.

Stephanie takes the stage to announce the climax of the event—Eric’s magnificent showstopper. The model arrives, standing on a boat. Massimo and Ridge recognize from a distance that the model is Brooke. Ridge worries as the audiences goes crazy over Eric’s design.

Everyone waits breathlessly as the MC announces the champion of the Portofino Challenge. The winner will claim the Forrester throne.

Kiara Barnes who plays Zoe Buckingham closes out the show by thanking the audience for watching.
