Bold and the Beautiful Recap Thursday September 5: Ridge Demands Answers, Katie And Brooke Catch Up

The Thursday, September 5, 2019, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, opens in the hospital room of Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), who is sitting up, facial bandages removed, and asking Dr. Jordan Armstrong (Vincent Irizarry) to give him the all-clear and release him.

Dr. Armstrong reminds him again that he’s lucky to be alive. When an impatient but cheerful Thomas announces that he’s ready to get back to his life and move past his mistakes, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) looks skeptical. After Dr. Armstrong administers more tests, he agrees to sign the release papers so that Thomas can get home to his little boy.

A father-son reunion will have to wait because Detective Alex Sanchez (Jeremy Ray Valdez) arrives with questions about the fateful night that Emma Barber’s (Nia Sioux) car went off Mullholland Drive. Ridge insinuates that Xander Avant (Adain Bradley) only accused Thomas of Emma’s death in retaliation for threatening Xander. Ridge lawyers up on Thomas’ behalf and puts an end to the questioning, but Detective Sanchez warns Thomas that the facts always have a way of coming out.

Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Ridge Forrester Wants Answers From His Son

Ridge put on a defensive show for the detective, but, when Ridge is finally alone with Thomas, he berates his son for treating the serious accusations as a joke. A suddenly tearful Thomas claims that he’s sorry and begs for his dad’s help. Ridge isn’t completely swayed by Thomas’ plea but demands the truth: Did Thomas run Emma off the road and cause her to die?

The Logan sisters unite to support their sister but neither Katie (Heather Tom) nor Donna (Jennifer Gareis) can wrap their heads around Ridge’s defense of Thomas and criticism of Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Brooke explains that Ridge believes she overreacted because she hates his son and is waiting for Brooke to apologize to Thomas for pushing him off the cliff.

Katie bemoans the fact that Thomas has never had to pay for any of his actions, including blowing up Rick Forrester’s (Jacob Young) car and pushing him out a window. Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) arrives in time to promise the ladies that he will make sure that Thomas doesn’t weasel his way out of his crimes this time.

The Logans sit down to tea. After Katie gushes about her son’s Taekwondo belt tests, the sisters offer their support to Liam and Brooke. They are still shocked that Ridge initially believed his own wife would try to kill Thomas on purpose. Liam worries what Thomas will do when he’s released because he hasn’t stopped obsessing over Hope Forrester (Annika Noelle).

He doubts that Thomas would ever annul the fraudulent marriage to Hope. Thomas is unpredictable and calculating and only cleared Brooke of responsibility for his fall in order to score points with his victims. Donna warns Brooke not to let Thomas destroy her marriage to Ridge too.

Teacups rattle and fears grow as the group decides that it’s a very bad idea for Thomas and his son to move in with Ridge and Brooke, where he can easily get to Hope, baby Beth, and Liam at the cabin. Brooke resents Thomas for putting her in the awful position of either fighting for her daughter or fighting for her marriage. Liam proposes that he and Brooke work together to ensure that Thomas doesn’t do any more damage to their family.
