Bold and the Beautiful Recap Thursday April 30, 2020: Liam’s Trauma From Quinn Kidnapping Revisited, Eric’s Big Surprise

John McCook (Eric Forrester) introduces the Thursday, April 30, 2020, flashback episode of The Bold & the Beautiful. This episode in the Escape to Monte Carlo series first aired in July 2016. McCook enjoys the scenes in which his character finds love.

The episode opens with Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) photographing Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) on the beach and watching the “likes” increase on her social media page for Spencer Publications. Wyatt grumbles about his brother sulking around and ruining their perfect afternoon. They sip champagne and canoodle as Wyatt promises to live in this incredible moment with her.

Eric returns to his suite and dreams about sexy times with Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer). Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) drops by to congratulate Eric on his return to Forrester Creations. They have a civil chat about fashion until Liam makes a crack about Quinn and Eric’s mood takes a dive.

Eric offers his condolences to Liam for Steffy marrying Wyatt. Eric advises him that time heals all wounds, but they don’t all heal properly. The only thing you can count on is life surprising you. Liam must learn to expect the unexpected.

Meanwhile, Quinn jumps in a taxi and takes off in hopes of landing her man. When the taxi stops in front of the Spencer Summit billboard, Quinn smiles as photos of Eric appear on the screen. Once at the hotel, Quinn dons a black hat and takes a stroll. Eric calls to apologize for the way he broke up with her. He thanks her for pushing him to take the CEO position back. She’s thrilled when he confesses how much he misses her.

Eric gazes out at the Mediterranean. The color of the water is the same electric blue as Quinn’s eyes. Quinn asks Eric to go down to the sea, look into the water, and think of her.

Liam wanders onto the beach, watching glumly as his brother and Steffy frolic on the beach. He slinks off unhappily to trudge through the harbor and the streets alone, dreaming of Steffy. He spots Quinn in a black hat on the bridge and gives chase. When he gets to the bridge, the woman is gone. He runs back to Steffy and Wyatt to warn them that Quinn was on the promenade.

Steffy says that there’s no way that Quinn is in Monaco. Liam has PTSD and Quinn is haunting him. When Wyatt reaches to take a selfie of himself kissing her, Steffy grabs the phone. Some moments are best kept private. When she threatens to throw the phone in the water, Eric stops her. He says that he has a date with the beautiful Mediterranean.

Eric stops on the promenade to look out over the sea as he promised Quinn. He turns around and is shocked to see that Quinn is actually standing in front of him. She asks if her eyes and the sea are the same color. He can’t believe she’s there with him. She says that she’s only there if he wants her to be. Eric and Quinn kiss passionately.

McCook closes the Bold and the Beautiful episode today by thanking the fans and wishing them health and safety.
