Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers and Recap Monday February 24: Hope Barges In On Zoe and Thomas In Bed, Douglas Distraught Over Engagement

The Monday, February 24, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful opens with Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) breaking out the champagne to celebrate an engagement. Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) is still in shock from Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) proposal.

Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) is more surprised that Zoe actually said yes to marrying Thomas so soon in their relationship. Zoe says that Thomas convinced her to be his wife when he told her he loved her. Zoe feels terrible about upsetting Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), but she’s sure that Thomas is upstairs reassuring him.

Meanwhile upstairs in the Forrester home, Thomas walks in on his son pleading with Mommy to marry Daddy. Douglas asks Thomas who he wants to marry more: Zoe or Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). Hope answers the question for him—she can’t marry Thomas again. Douglas worries that he’ll spend more time with Zoe than Hope. When Thomas says that they’re creating a new family with Zoe, Hope warns Thomas to think about what he’s saying in front of Douglas.

Eric toasts to Zoe becoming a member of the Forrester family. Brooke sits on the sidelines, proclaiming doom and gloom over the upcoming nuptials. She warns Zoe that, based on Douglas’ reaction to the engagement, it’s going to be a bumpy transition. Zoe is hopeful that Douglas will eventually come around and warm up to a relationship with her.

Douglas gets angry when Thomas tells him that he’ll now have two moms—Mommy Hope and Mommy Zoe. Douglas says that he already has Mommy Hope and Mommy in Heaven. Hope takes Thomas to task for springing the engagement and Zoe on Douglas without preparing him first. Thomas says that Zoe is his second chance to give Douglas the family he deserves. Hope is annoyed when Thomas continues to push Zoe on his son.

Thomas calls his best buddy to give him the good news. Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) can’t believe that Thomas is marrying a woman he doesn’t love. Thomas loves what Zoe—who is beautiful and good in bed—does for him. Vinny is upset when he hears that Douglas and Hope had a front-row seat to the surprise engagement. Vinny realizes that it’s been Thomas’ plan all along to use Douglas to get Hope back. He worries what other surprises Thomas has in store for Douglas and Hope.

Brooke says that she doesn’t like Zoe, but even she doesn’t deserve to be treated so badly by Thomas. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) rolls his eyes. Brooke tells him that the fast-track proposal is a sham. Ridge admits that it was weird that Thomas didn’t tell Zoe he loved her until Zoe said she wouldn’t marry him without hearing the words. Ridge trusts that Thomas is creating a healthier future for himself with Zoe. Brooke says that, if Thomas and Zoe get married, only then would she be able to believe and forgive him again. She doubts it will ever happen.

Zoe comes to Thomas’ room and finds candlelight and rose petals on the bed. Zoe wonders if they’re moving too fast. Thomas promises Zoe that he’s sincere when he says he loves her. Thomas and Zoe engage in some spirited love-making. Hope can hear them from the room where Douglas is sleeping. She angrily bursts into Thomas’ room and demands to know what they are doing. Douglas is still upset over the engagement and hearing their monkey business would have traumatized him even more. She blasts Thomas for being so thoughtless.

Hope asks Zoe if she really wants to marry a man who’s still in love with another woman. Thomas comes clean and says that he loves both women. Zoe is disappointed by his answer. She wonders if she’s second place. Thomas blasts Hope for barging in. Hope asks him to slow down the engagement to ease Douglas into it. Thomas believes he’s doing what’s best for his son.
