Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers and Recap Tuesday March 3: Thomas Plans Speedy Wedding, Zoe Fails At Winning Over Douglas

On the Tuesday, March 3, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful, Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) grills Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) about his sudden engagement to Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes). Vinny needs to make a decision about what to do with his apartment if Zoe is moving out, but he’s not so sure that Thomas’ proposal was real. Vinny is disgusted that Thomas is stringing Zoe along and using Douglas to manipulate Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).

Thomas pleads that his maneuvering is in Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) best interests. Thomas is only using Douglas to give him the family he deserves. Thomas admits that his end game is to crack Hope. The only way Hope can stop Thomas from marrying Zoe and upsetting Douglas is to marry Thomas instead. He intends to call Zoe “mommy” because it frightens Douglas.

Zoe tries to break through Douglas’ hostility. Douglas is wary of Zoe. He wants to know why Daddy gave Zoe such a big ring. Zoe says that the ring is a symbol of Thomas’ love and commitment. Zoe wants to know Douglas better and to be a family. When Hope arrives, Douglas hurts Zoe’s feelings by clinging to Hope and telling her that he’s glad she came. Douglas doesn’t like it that things are changing so fast.

Vinny tries to understand Thomas’ schemes, but can’t comprehend why he would put the weight of his entire future on the shoulders of his child. Thomas believes Douglas will be better off when he’s living under the same roof as his mother and father. Vinny marvels at Thomas: he’s either a genius or a psycho. Vinny says that the flaw in the scheme is that there are too many people and variables that have to come together to make the plan work. Thomas claims to have contingencies in place.

Vinny blasts Thomas for using everyone around him and putting too much pressure on his son. Thomas believes that Douglas works best under pressure. Thomas gets angry when Vinny questions his love for Douglas. When Vinny asks what would happen if Douglas couldn’t take the pressure, Thomas gets an idea and says that he needs to move the plan along.

Douglas pouts when Zoe plans a trip to the amusement park but says that his mommy can’t come. He freaks when Zoe talks about giving him a little brother or sister. Hope puts the brakes on that kind of talk and encourages Zoe to concentrate on the wedding.

When Thomas arrives, he amps up the tension and tells Douglas he’s lucky to have two mommies. Douglas immediately panics. He doesn’t want two mommies. Hope urges Douglas to give Zoe a chance. Douglas throws down: Hope is his mommy, not Zoe. Daddy needs to marry Hope so they can live together with baby Beth (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson). Douglas plays matchmaker. He begs Hope to forgive Thomas for keeping the secret about Beth. He says that Daddy is sorry for his mistake and loves Hope, not Zoe.

Zoe and Thomas make out in his office. Thomas apologizes for Douglas’ behavior. Zoe realizes that it will take time to make a family, especially to a little boy who is afraid he’ll lose his mommy again. Thomas doesn’t intend to wait for that to happen—he wants his wife and the life that they’re planning to happen now. He asks Zoe to get married right away. Zoe questions his motives, but he smooth talks her into agreeing to a speedy wedding. Zoe wants to ease Douglas into it, but Thomas plans to give him the news as soon as possible, like ripping off a band aid. Thomas sees how upset his son is but still decides to further torment him. Douglas cries and begs Hope to make it stop when Thomas says that he and Zoe will marry quickly.
