Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers and Recap Wednesday February 19: Devastated Steffy Realizes Liam Is More Interested In Hope

The Wednesday, February 19, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful opens at the beach where Grandpa Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) spends quality time with Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington). Ridge asks Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to join them at a family dinner that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is planning. Steffy suspects that Thomas is up to something. Ridge scolds his daughter for not giving her brother a second chance. Ridge wonders why Steffy won’t trust Thomas. Steffy can’t reveal that she knows Thomas is still scheming because he engineered the kiss between her and Liam.

Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) goes on the defensive as Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) accuses Thomas of only pretending to care about her. Liam warns Zoe that it’s a bad idea to trust Thomas. Zoe believes that Thomas’ feelings for her are real and that she will be a part of his future. Liam has a gut feeling that Thomas is manipulating her.

Thomas looks on happily from the shadows as Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) comforts Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri). Douglas wants Hope to be with his daddy. He won’t let anyone take Hope’s place in their family, especially Zoe.

Thomas interrupts and asks his son to give Zoe a chance. Douglas is upset when Thomas tells him that Thomas can’t keep trying to make Hope love him when it will never happen. Hope blasts Thomas for scaring Douglas by telling him that everything is going to change. Hope looks disappointed when Thomas says that, one day, Douglas will have another mom.

Zoe drops by and tries to talk to Douglas about going to the museum and ordering his favorite food. Douglas clams up, refusing to speak to Zoe. Thomas tells them that he has a family dinner planned. Douglas assumes it’s with Beth and Hope, but Thomas tells them that it’s for Zoe. Thomas asks Hope and Douglas to come to the dinner. Thomas says that, after the dinner, everything they’ve hoped for will come true.

Liam drops by the beach house. Steffy is thrilled to see Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson). Liam finagles an invite from Ridge to Thomas’ dinner. Liam anticipates that Thomas will put on quite a show to prove to everyone that his relationship with Zoe is legitimate.

Liam plays with Beth and Kelly at Steffy’s, but can’t stop talking about Hope. Steffy still feels guilty about the kiss that she and Thomas orchestrated. Liam refuses to let her take the blame—it wasn’t like she knew that Hope would see them kiss. Liam complains that Thomas has a way of getting inside Hope’s head.

Steffy is disappointed when Liam wants to go to the family dinner because Hope will be there. She realizes that Liam is trying to save Hope again, just like he always does. Steffy thinks Hope is crazy for not jumping on the chance to have a life with Liam and Beth.
