Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers and Recap Wednesday March 4: Liam Begs Hope To Open Her Eyes, Steffy Can’t Handle Her Guilt

The Wednesday, March 4, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful opens at the beach house where Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) play with Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington) and Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson). Steffy wonders why Liam is so quiet. Liam misses living with Beth and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). Steffy is disappointed that Liam hasn’t adjusted to living with her and Kelly.

Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) throws a tantrum when his father announces that he’s marrying Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) in a few days. Hope defends Douglas. He likes Zoe but he needs more time to get to know her before the wedding. Thomas promises that, once they marry, Douglas will have a real family again. Douglas clings to Hope. She glares at Thomas as she takes Douglas out of the room for a snack.

Steffy is plagued by guilt over working with her brother to stage a kiss with Liam. Liam says that his life is broken and he has to find a way to fix it. Liam believes things would have been different for him and Hope if Thomas hadn’t interfered and Hope hadn’t signed the custody papers. Steffy agrees that Thomas caused chaos in all of their lives because of the way he manipulates people. She encourages Liam to hold on to the pure and true love of his children and not to be overwhelmed by the situation.

Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) warns Thomas that his plan to rush the wedding will blow up in his face. Thomas tells his friend that he wouldn’t be so skeptical if he had seen the way Douglas and Hope freaked about the news. Thomas doesn’t appreciate Vinny’s lecture.

Thomas assures a worried Zoe that everything will work out, but she’s not so sure. Thomas tells Zoe that he sees everything he wants right in front of him and he wants it now. He designs a wedding gown for Zoe and another for the Hope for the Future showstopper.

Hope reprimands Thomas for dropping a bomb on his son and bringing him to tears. Hope tells Thomas that Douglas is scared. Thomas won’t apologize for getting excited about the wedding. Thomas kisses Zoe before she is called away to work. Thomas says that, once he and Zoe marry, she will be the mother he spends most of his time with. He asks Hope if she understands that Zoe and Thomas will be his parents. Hope refuses to take a step back from Douglas. She questions why Thomas is moving things along so quickly.

Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) congratulates Zoe on her engagement. Carter is concerned when Zoe tells him that Thomas wants to get married right away.

Steffy walks in on Thomas taunting Hope, just like he provoked her that day on the phone before she kissed Liam. Steffy is suspicious that the quickie wedding is part of Thomas’ scheme to make a future with Hope, not Zoe. She tells her brother that Liam is heartbroken being away from Hope and Beth.

Thomas calls Liam an idiot who is blind to the family right in front of him. Thomas says that, if Steffy plays her cards right, Liam and Hope will never be together again and Steffy can have Liam all to herself. Steffy realizes that Liam and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) have been right about Thomas all along: Thomas has wanted Hope from the beginning. He’s hoping the real showstopper will be Hope wearing his gown to marry him.

Hope finds Liam at the cabin. She gives him the news that Thomas is marrying Zoe right away. Liam says that Thomas knows that upsetting Douglas upsets Hope. Thomas has Hope right where he wants her. He doesn’t want to marry Zoe but is terrorizing his son into begging Hope to marry his father before Zoe does. Hope believes that Thomas cares about Zoe, but fears that Thomas is tearing Douglas away from her. Liam begs Hope not to let Thomas manipulate her.
