The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers – Brad Bell Originally Told Soap Opera Digest About The Plans For A Beloved Character’s Death In December 2019
Brad Bell originally had told Soap Opera Digest in an interview about plans for a beloved character’s death in December 2019, and this is was a 2020 preview interview. There was a buzz going around that it was supposed to be Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) but that the writers had changed their mind.
Other options could have been Eric Forrester (John McCook) due to his advanced age and possibly an unspoken desire to retire, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) carrying out his morbid dream of eliminating all his rivals, including the entire Logan family, but especially Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) who was trying to stand between his obsession, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and himself, but that resolved itself with Thomas walking off into parts unknown and never returning.
He could be considered a beloved character by some, but it’s doubtful he went and offed himself somewhere – there was no lead-up to such a storyline since Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), his father, and his sister, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline Macinnes Wood) never filed a missing person report or seemed to be concerned where he went at all, actually. A more recent blind item in Soap Opera Digest pointed to one soap having a deadly sendoff for one of its characters, although the wording “beloved” was not used this time. It could refer to any one of the four soaps.

Could the beloved character who is dying be Katie Logan Spencer? Longtime viewers of the Bold and The Beautiful, especially those who have stuck with the daytime drama from its’ first episode in March 1987 have watched Katie grow from an awkward and insecure teenager with poor self-esteem and constant worries about her complexion, to a beautiful young businesswoman who has gone through many, many more physical illnesses and brushes with death than most people do in a lifetime of living!
She would certainly fit the description of a beloved character seeing as she grew up on-screen. Imagine having two transplants, one of her heart and a kidney transplant more recently and then going through the stress of her oldest sister and the love of her life, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) betraying her with each other yet again! That could definitely put stress on her heart, her kidney, or simply her immune system, and it’s already compromised with having had two transplants!
She has her brother, Storm Logan’s (William DeVry) heart, who actually took his own life in order to save hers, and his daughter, Flo Fulton’s (Katrina Bowden) kidney.

Add to that the situation of the actress, Heather Tom, becoming more and more involved in outside directing projects and possibly having less and less time for acting once we are past the pandemic crisis and everything opens up again; with putting all that together, it does seem that the character of Katie makes the most sense to have a deadly sendoff sometime in the future!

At this point and time I could care less. They want let Brooke and her suppose to be destiny husband Ridge back together, so I don’t care kill whom ever you may just don’t bring them back from the dead. Let them stay dead, please we have had enough of resurrections. If you kill someone then let them stay where they go at in soap land. This is 2020 and we need to act like it and address ourselves accordingly. Have a great day because the Thrill Is Gone for B&B, as BB King can sing The Thrill Is Gone!
oh do us all a big favor and let it be hopeless.she is the most useless character on B&B and only is on when they have to have a FORRESTER to prop us her story,,cause she is so useless and not interesting at all on the show..no one will watch her alone..the have to use the whole cast to prop her up..Most ones they use to prop her up are Steffy & Liam an Kelly,,then they started using Thomas and Douglas to prop her up..them talented actors shouldn;t have their talent wasted on her,,get rid of her for good..it was a waste of shows time bringing her back in the first place..show was fine without her in the first place..even using that poor baby to prop her up..no one pity her.give the baby back to Steffy & Liam,STEAM family is the one people want to watch

Katie would be a good character to kill off. I like the actress but Heather Tom has other interests now outside of acting, plus there isn’t anything more to do with her character once she and Bill go their separate ways. Katie’s last BIG story line was the custody battle for Will and that was a boring story line. Most recently she’s just been written as a gossip and a perpetual victim.
Thorne isn’t even on the show right now. Killing a character off screen is not dramatic at all.

I absolutely have no idea. However, I could think of quite a few but there’s one I’d like to see gone, maybe Quinn.
If anyone leaves I think it would be Heather Tom becauseshe is into other things. One thing for sure it that she is not doing some directing and if she decides to leave the show then she probably be directing and that’s great.

I think it is Katie , Heather has made no secret of the fact she want to do more directing than acting. It also leave the door open for a Brooke and Bill super romance they are going to be the next super couple for sure.
