Also known as Macy Alexander Forrester on “The Bold and the Beautiful, has joined the cast of a play called “This Side of Crazy” by Del Shores. The play runs from January 31 to March 8 at the Zephyr Theatre.
The play tells the story of the Blaylock Sisters. It tackles fame, family, and how they found their way back home. The characters include a Christian vlogger named Rachel, a chain-smoking virgin who has anger management issues, named Abigail, and a closeted atheist stripper, named Bethany. Everything goes haywire when Ditty, their stage mother, “volunteers” them to perform in a star-studded reunion.
Eakes was extremely excited about her new project and had good things to say about everyone. “It is so great to be working with these talents!” she said in a Facebook post.

“And off we go!! Sunday was the read-through of my latest play THIS SIDE OF CRAZY with LA cast – Dale Dickey, @bobbie.eakes @rachelsorsa and @sgarrisonactor,” the play’s creator, Del Shores, posted on Instagram.
“Our awesome stage manager is Letitia Chang. Lotta talent at this table. I love directing amazing actors. These are exquisite!,” Shores added.

Before making a name in the soap opera genre, Eakes had on primetime TV series like “Cheers.” She was also the lead singer of “Big Trouble,” a pop-rock group in the mid-1980s. Giorgio Moroder produced their self-titled album in 1987. One of their singles titled “Crazy World” ranked #71 on the U.S. singles chart, but the group didn’t have that much success afterward.

She joined “The Bold and the Beautiful” as Macy Alexander from 1989 to 2000. She made a guest appearance in 2001 and then was rehired on a contract role from 2002 to 2003. The actress’s alter ego was also a singer.
Eakes’ character, Macy, was a fan favorite. She had her own struggles including being an alcoholic. But she managed to get through it all and found love in Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan).
When not playing the role of Macy, Eakes had other gigs like hosting “Great American Country,” a country music TV channel. She also joined the cast of “All My Children” as Krystal Carey and starred in the productions of “Cinderella” and “Love Letters.”
