Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) is understandably upset on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. She believes that she was an eyewitness to Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) betrayal.

Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was hoping for the payoff that happened. He tipped his sister, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), off to Hope’s arrival at the cliff house while he was trailing her. Wood’s character gave Liam an impulse hug and quickly followed with a kiss that Clifton’s alter ego returned.

So, any rehash of what happened in the future, or attempt to blame Thomas for what went wrong, would represent a deflection, which Hope would surely call out. Steffy and Liam are responsible for what they did, not Thomas.

While the above prediction seemed outrageous at the time, Liam will likely look back on it and connect the dots. However, this process will be supercharged if Steffy admits that she willing went along with her brother’s latest ploy.

Considering various developments within the past year-plus, Hope no longer believes in ‘Lope’s’ future. That should trouble fans of this couple that has been through so much.

Thomas was gambling, as he often does, that Hope would split from Liam if she came upon a seeming, scandalous ‘Steam’ reconciliation. The idea that Noelle’s character would see what she saw the day after Liam proposed remarriage to her added to the shock.

Liam has already put himself behind the daytime eight ball by conditioning his proposal to two hoops Hope had to jump through. One was a lesser demand, that might have been negotiable. Hope was told to drop Thomas as her lead designer. But the other condition, that she cut her legal tie to Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), proved too much.

Now, with the seeming appearance of a ‘Steam’ rebound, Hope has a decision to make. At least seek an explanation, or stop all communication and move forward without Liam.

It feels likely that Hope will bond with Thomas if Steffy remains silent. But if Liam hears Steffy’s admission about the kiss and then tells Hope what happened Thomas will have to explain himself.

Believing that Thomas has been sincere about reform and redemption hasn’t been easy. But Hope has softened her stance in his regard, while also keeping him at a purposeful distance. However, if she learns that Thomas’ ploy led to the latest drama the slight progress he’s made will surely prove to be fleeting.
