After Thomas falls in the acid-filled container, Hope goes searching for Douglas. She ends up finding him and returns home. She explains that she is now Douglas’ mother, which is a shock to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). It is also stunning to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) once he discovers the news.

She believes that Thomas is dead and doesn’t want to risk losing her freedom — or Douglas. She feels that she has worked too hard and sacrificed too much to lose it all now.
