Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Liam Pining For Hope – Is Steffy The Better Choice?

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) continues to pine for the woman he believes is best for his life. Love isn’t rational, as Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) strongly appears to be Liam’s better, logical choice.

Hope has walked away from Liam on two occasions within less than a year. She initially ended Lope when deciding to protect Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) by marrying his father, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). More recently she felt betrayed when seeing Liam kiss Steffy in the backyard at the cliff house, which caused her to push his remarriage offer off the soapy table.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Hope Logan Is Drawn To Thomas Forrester

Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) insight appears to be right. He told Liam that Hope is drawn to Thomas’ bad boy weirdness, a speculative point that Clifton’s character didn’t fully dismiss.

There’s no doubt that the bond Hope and Douglas created, after Thomas returned from New York with his son following Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) sudden death, drove her toward the first ‘Thope’ marriage.

The specific use of the word first in the above sentence intentionally implies that a second union is at least possible, despite Hope’s current lack of interest in allowing that to happen.

B&B Spoilers – Steffy Forrester Offers Open Arms

Steffy was dramatically impacted by the Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) kidnapping, though Wood’s character falls in the third victim spot. Hope and Liam tie for first as the most affected, as Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) told them that their child died during birth.

As B&B viewers recall, Steffy endured terrible heartbreak in having to relinquish the baby she thought was privately adopted. Following a brief Lope re-pairing, Steffy has welcomed Liam back into her home and life with open arms. She’s done that even in knowing that Liam is still in love with Hope.

The love Steffy has for Liam isn’t fully unrequited, as he does care for her and has often acknowledged the unbreakable bond they share as Kelly Spencer’s (Avalon and Colette Gray) parents. But she hasn’t been able to convince him that Steam deserves another chance.

Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Liam Spencer Remains Distracted

Liam wants what he can’t have, while not embracing what’s right in front of him. He wants Hope, although she’s made it quite clear that a reunion isn’t an option. Liam also can’t seem to circle fully back to the deep feelings he once had for Steffy.

He should remain concerned about Thomas because that character represents an ongoing threat to people Liam cares about. However, time continues to be lost focusing on distractions, rather than living in the present and shaping the future.

Steffy is one of Liam’s loves, but she’s not his main soul mate right now. Settling down is something that Clifton’s character apparently isn’t ready to do. Instead, he’s allowing himself to be trapped by idealistic thoughts that have often restrained his life in the past.
