The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers tease that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) will propose to Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) but with a shocking stipulation; she has to cut off any and all ties to Thomas Forrester, (Matthew Atkinson) including co-parenting Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri)!

Bold & The Beautiful Spoilers – Hope Logan Will Be Shocked And Will Not Understand Why She Has To Abandon A Little Boy!

Understandably, Hope will be shocked and will not understand why she has to abandon a little boy just because of who his father is! Longtime viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful will recall that Hope is not Douglas’ birth mother, he is the son of Thomas and the late Caroline Spencer ll (Linsey Godfrey). She unexpectedly died of a blood clot, and Thomas moved back to Los Angeles with Douglas, who naturally, misses his mommy.

Hope’s heart goes out to the little boy and she tries to divert his attention from his mother’s death, even making a dish with him that his mother used to make, the way she made it. At the time, she thought her baby daughter Hope Spencer (Zoe Pennington) was dead, and so it was easy for her to get attached to Douglas, as he easily got attached to her. It was Douglas that asked if Hope could become his mother later on, and Thomas manipulated his son to propose to her with a diamond ring to become his mother, therefore becoming Thomas’ wife.

Thomas further shows how evil he is by projecting a ghost on the wall of Douglas’ bedroom, scaring the little boy, in order to manipulate Hope into marrying him. Hope and Thomas marry, but Hope then decides rather than sleeping with her new husband, she would stay in Douglas’ room, but Thomas convinces Douglas not to agree to it. A short couple of months later, Douglas becomes fascinated with Phoebe Forrester, the adopted baby girl of Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline Macinnes Wood) and tells Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) that Phoebe is really Beth! Hope divorced Thomas shortly thereafter.

B&B Spoilers – Liam Spencer Does Not Make This Condition Lightly

Liam does not make this condition lightly – as long as Hope is tied to Douglas, she will be tied to Thomas! He doesn’t want her to just abandon Douglas to be abandoning Douglas, but a day before, Thomas had shown his true colors to Liam by threatening him!

The most logical solution for Douglas, who may be in danger from his father, would be for his aunt Steffy to take over raising him, which may require a custody fight and Thomas being determined to be an unfit father for Douglas. Yes, this will be somewhat traumatic for Douglas, but if Thomas is too dangerous to raise his son, then Douglas must be rescued and brought somewhere safe.

Hope will not agree with any of this, because she loves Douglas, but because she has no blood ties to the boy she cannot try for custody; technically, as Caroline’s cousin, Liam could try, but usually when there is a closer relative, which Steffy would be, the courts rule in favor of the closer relative.
