Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Liam Spencer Gave Hope Up Way Too Easily - His Fault She's Marrying Thomas?Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is unquestionably a villain on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. But even a broken mind can acknowledge the truth sometimes. That’s exactly what he did when directly stating that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) can’t make a decision.

Liam is expressing passion, after it was needed. Where were those needed emotions last summer when he was languishing in a marriage with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), even though he was in love with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle)? That was Noelle’s character’s last name at that time and is again her moniker this summer.

The intensity of Liam’s drive, having awakened after he’s realized just how serious of a threat Thomas is to Hope’s life, could be categorized in many ways. One of them would have to do with time. His actions now might be too late.

Liam reverted to form as soon as Hope began telling him that their marriage was over. Responses to directed conversations without action is a character trait that Steffy dealt with for an extended period of time in 2018.

Liam should have never signed the annulment papers that Hope directed Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to draft. That makes the comment Thomas offered to his sister Steffy about Liam being indecisive apt.

Thomas’ engagement scheme, which involved use of Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), would not have been put into motion if Liam would have refused to go along with Hope’s plan to end ‘Lope’. Clifton’s often malleable alter ego should have resisted his wife’s plea to split for as long as possible. During that time Thomas’ obsession with Hope may have become apparent.

Hope is hardly the brushing potential bride. Instead, she’s presenting her engagement to Thomas as a way to do what’s right. By that she means becoming Thomas’ mother and moving forward with her life.

Liam still loves Hope. Miss Logan has affirmed that he remains the love of her life. Yet, his failure to prevent their nuptials from dissolving allowed Thomas to take advantage of Hope’s vulnerability. While what Thomas is doing is outright wrong, he’s right to recognize that Liam’s personality weakness has enabled what’s happening.
