Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers Poll: Should The Virus Pandemic Be Addressed On B&B?

The Bold and the Beautiful‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, along with the other three broadcast soaps and many other studios, previously halted production due to health and safety concerns related to the worldwide virus pandemic. Plans are forming for return-to-work scenarios. Federal and state officials will make these challenging calls after feasible workplace protocols are established.

B&B is likely making decisions about future scripts while the writing staff is working from home during the shutdown. The virus could be addressed when production resumes, as doing so would allow reality to be respectfully presented.

The implication of this poll article is not to exploit this traumatic crisis for dramatic purposes. Instead, the poll question is asking readers how B&B can address this crisis when new shows are produced and then shown.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – New Episode Rollout Being Stretched

B&B was recording episodes approximately six weeks in advance of projected broadcast dates. So, previously produced shows will be exhausted in the near future.

B&B has begun mixing new episodes with classics each week. This strategy could allow viewers to see new episodes through May unless weekly show amounts will soon be reduced.

However, at some point, the supply of new episodes will run out. So, whenever production resumes it’s fair to believe that B&B will do everything possible to air recorded shows much sooner than they normally would be seen.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Existing Scripts Stick, Or Are Enhanced

Of course, B&B has an existing backlog of unshot scripts that need to record. So, it wouldn’t seem practical, or even possible to insert fresh storylines into whatever was originally planned.

It would be possible to create a stand-alone episode where soap time is paused and a variety of characters address the virus. Alternatively, all members of the cast could be shown in individual shots, as couples, families, or as an ensemble, where they speak, like themselves, to the audience about the effects of the pandemic.

This is a tough, creative call. Arguments can be made that fans want to escape reality and wouldn’t want the characters to be written into what’s happened on this side of the screen, even if that means a stand-alone episode or a time-shift to after the virus was contained.

B&B Spoilers – Good Health And Peace Of Mind

Viewers are concerned for their families and friends during this most unusual time. Soap fans are also naturally thinking about all who are connected to B&B, both in front of and behind the camera.

Here’s hoping for good health and peace of mind for all who read these posts as well.

Hell NO! I already am living through the Covid-19 and I don’t want to either turn on my TV or DVR the episode and watch it later. B&B writer would take forever to tell the story. NO one want to watch the fiction version of the story we as the B&B fans is living through. We want to see romance, action and adventure in our life.
