Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers & Recap Monday August 31: Ridge Fills Steffy In, Carter Asks Zoe On A Date

The Bold & the Beautiful recap for Monday August 31, opens at the cliff house with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) crying on his daughter’s shoulder. Ridge tells Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) hijacked his reunion with Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang).

Steffy wants to know how everything fell apart so quickly. Ridge explains that he overheard Brooke telling Bill she would love him for the rest of her life. Steffy wonders if Ridge didn’t misunderstand what Brooke said. Ridge can’t accept that Brooke still loves Bill after all he’s put their family through. Ridge hasn’t made a decision about what to do with Shauna. He’s going to step back a moment and let things be. He wants someone who loves him for who he is. Steffy says Brooke loves him too.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Donna Logan Is Confused

Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) is confused when Brooke gives her the play-by-play of her failed reconciliation with Ridge. The last Donna heard, Brooke and Ridge were back together and Ridge was heading home to give Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) her walking papers. Brooke says that Bill is to blame for the reunion that never happened.

Bill waltzes into Brooke’s home. Brooke tries to shoo him out: he needs to focus on putting his family back together with Katie Logan (Heather Tom). Bill says Katie ended their relationship. Brooke encourages him not to accept Katie’s rejection. Bill says that Katie’s love for him is not enough when he’s still hung up on Brooke. Donna is miffed when Brooke wants to speak to Bill alone. She warns her sister that it’s not a good idea to be alone with Bill.

Once Donna leaves, Bill demands to know if Brooke is finally done with Ridge. Quinn told him that something game-changing happened between Ridge and Shauna. Brooke says she found them together in Ridge’s bedroom. Ridge overheard Brooke’s conversation with Bill and his kneejerk reaction was to run to Shauna without allowing Brooke to explain herself.

B&B Spoilers – Bill Spencer Wonders

Bill wonders why Brooke allows Ridge to treat her like garbage. He begs Brooke to open her eyes to Ridge’s actions. Ridge gets drunk and forgets things a lot. Bill says that the reason Ridge and Brooke keep encountering obstacles is that she’s meant to be with Bill. Bill urges her to put a stop to Ridge’s abuse. Brooke is tempted to get back on her stallion and ride back to the future with Bill.

Flo visits her mom at the Forrester compound. Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) announces with glee that the tie between Ridge and Brooke is permanently severed. Flo is intrigued. Brooke walked in Ridge’s bedroom and found Shauna on his bed. Flo is thrilled for her mother.

Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Zoe Buckingham Is Just Fine

Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) checks in on Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes). Zoe is just fine: she doesn’t waste her tears on guys who don’t deserve her. Carter says she made the right choice by not committing to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) for the rest of her life. They laugh about Pam Douglas (Alley Mills) saying that her spidey senses were tingling and she felt that something was about to ignite between Zoe and Carter.

Carter worries that Thomas is trying to win Zoe back. She says she made it clear to Thomas that her attention has shifted. Carter has a proposition for Zoe. Carter says he’s old school about dating and asks her to lunch. Zoe accepts Carter’s invitation.

Quinn can’t understand why Shauna isn’t more enthusiastic about Brooke and Ridge’s break-up. Shauna feels guilty about deceiving Ridge about the wedding and the filing of his divorce papers. Quinn encourages her to focus on the wonderful things they’ve accomplished and live for the moment. She has to come up with creative ways to help Ridge forget Brooke.

When her father leaves, Steffy has a blast of pain and chugs her medication.  Shauna waits for Ridge at home. Shauna tells him to take whatever time he needs to process his breakup with Brooke and catch up with the fact that Shauna is crazy happy being his wife. Ridge forbids Shauna from mentioning Bill’s name. She says life as he knows it is about to change: he’ll see what it’s like to be with a woman who puts him first and loves only him.
