Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers & Recap Thursday January 9: Hope Catches Liam Kissing Steffy – Thomas Strikes Again!

On the Thursday, January 9, 2020, The Bold and the Beautiful, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) gives her mother a blow-by-blow of Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) failed marriage proposal. When Hope refused to agree to the conditions of his offer, Liam walked out on Hope. Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) blames Thomas for ruining Hope’s relationship with Liam and Brooke’s marriage.

He manipulated Hope into giving him a second chance and is using her connection to Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) to drive a wedge between her and Liam. Brooke urges Hope to go back to Liam and not let Thomas interfere in her relationship with the man she loves. Hope hesitates—she loves Liam but can’t go back on her commitment to Douglas.

Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) happily catches the PDA between his son and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) at work. Thomas thanks Ridge for giving him the opportunity to return to Forrester Creations and make a better life for Douglas.

Thomas eavesdrops outside Brooke’s home and hears her say that he’s a virus who corrupts everything that’s good in their family. Hope agrees with her mother that she can’t lose Liam and has to fight for her family.

Liam wakes up on Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) couch. Steffy is stunned that Liam proposed to Hope, but Hope refused to cut legal ties to Douglas. Liam can’t marry Hope as long as Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is in the picture. Steffy zones out while Liam vents about Hope. Steffy tries to comfort him but her feelings get in the way. Liam goes out to watch the waves and calm his nerves.

Hope calls Liam and asks him to come home. She races to Steffy’s to meet him and Thomas follows. Thomas daydreams about kissing Hope and putting a ring on her finger. Thomas schemes to break up Liam and Hope once and for all. Thomas calls Steffy to tell her that Hope is on her way to Steffy’s and urges her to make a move on Liam while Hope is watching. Steffy, in her negligee goes out to talk to Liam. As they look out over the ocean, she takes the opportunity to tell Liam how much he means to her. Hope arrives just as Steffy plants a kiss on Liam. Thomas watches from the bushes as Hope is left heartbroken.

Ridge drops in on Brooke. Brooke blabs about Liam’s strings-attached proposal. She puts the moves on Ridge and asks him to come home.
