B&B’s production shutdown, due to the virus that’s impacted the world, blurs the ability to estimate when Sally’s ruse will be exposed. Currently, new episodes are being shown Monday’s through Thursday’s, with a classic episode being seen on Friday’s.

So, the date of the last new episode can be projected but isn’t exact. A fair assumption, assuming that approximately six weeks worth of shows were recorded before the shutdown, would have the last new episode broadcast by approximately May. But of course, that time frame could be stretched if one, or more classic episodes are added to the mix of new episodes each week.

The length of Sally’s faux illness has already gone well beyond Dr. Penny Escobar’s (Monica Ruiz) 30-day projection. But the suspension of disbelief scenario that soaps enjoy dismisses any normal calendar use.

If Hope is remaining with the cast, then Sally survives everything. She’ll surely be exposed, accidentally reveal, or state the truth at some point.

If Hope is leaving the cast, then Sally is in the process of being written out of the show. As noted above, the availability of new episodes could play into what B&B is able to show, as Hope may have already recorded her last episode. If she hasn’t, then it could be a while until fans see the climax to the developing storyline and know Sally’s fate.

Viewers know that Penny is going along with the lie that Sally is dying. That implies that the doctor believes the tremors her friend continues to experience, along with other abnormal physical sensations, are purely related to stress.

If Sally hasn’t actually been examined by a doctor and no tests have been taken, then she could have an undiagnosed illness or actual terminal condition. If that proves true, then who will believe her when she announces the real truth, whenever that is?
