Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is repeating a mistake he made on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. His perceived failures in life fuel decision-making, rather than thinking about what’s best for others.

Revenge plans are never justified, but don’t tell Thomas that. In his mind, he needs to teach numerous people a lesson so his view of reality is realized.

With no consideration for how his father’s life will be damaged, B&B’s leading villain wants to upset Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang). Thomas holds her responsible for ruining his childhood and for being a current thorn in his side and to an infinitely lesser extent, his dad’s.

Danny (Keith Carlos) asked a key question to Thomas at Bikini Bar. “What is wrong with you?” Danny said. Thomas sloughed off that line of dialogue, as the only voice he heard was his own. Plotting to bring down Brooke by manipulating Danny to return Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) belt is diabolical and dumb.

As of the moment, Ridge is Thomas sole defender and he’s a powerful one. His father could have turned him into the authorities because of what happened to Emma Barber (Nia Sioux), but he didn’t because of misguided family loyalty.

Once Ridge knows that Thomas orchestrated Brooke gaining knowledge of the nothing-night with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) all soapy bets could easily be off.

Shauna is playing the waiting game. She suspects that Brooke will self-destruct and that Ridge will need someone to lean on.

The tuck-in on the second floor at Bikini Bar deepened Shauna’s infatuation with Ridge, which was initially spurned by his aiding her daughter, Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden). It’s natural that a parent would be grateful when their child is helped. But Richards’ character also has eyes on ‘Bridge’.

Ridge’s tell to Shauna about Brooke’s feelings regarding Thomas was a deep admission. Combine that with ‘Bridge’s’ past marital problems and splits and another end could be coming. Though it is fair to also mention that Brooke and Ridge have always reconciled, eventually.

There are a number of B&B characters who are looking ahead, optimistically toward the future. Thomas’ new plans are both flawed and fuzzy. He intends to break up his father’s marriage in hopes of what? Ridge getting back together with Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) doesn’t seem likely.

Thomas used the same manipulation tactic on Danny that he did on the baby steal and conceal secret-keepers, which has widen his enemy list. Instead of making amends with those he wronged, Thomas is creating more detractors.

Until (or if) Atkinson’s character is held to full legal account and receives the mental health treatment he seriously needs, nothing seems likely to change.
