Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Thomas’ Return Looming – Will He Use Hope’s Actions Against Her & Reclaim Douglas?

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that viewers haven’t seen the last of Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). As B&B viewers know, Thomas and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) were arguing on a catwalk in the industrial area at Forrester Creations when Hope shoved Thomas and he fell into a vat of steaming liquid. This came after Hope was frantically searching for Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), whom Thomas had stashed somewhere inside the Forrester building.

Things looked pretty bad for Thomas, since viewers were led to believe that the liquid he fell into was hydrofluoric acid. But then Thomas floated to the top of the liquid and didn’t appear to be burning, which would have been the case if he had really fallen into a vat of pure hydrofluoric acid. And when Hope came back to the scene to look for Thomas, she encountered a man in a yellow hazmat suit, who was ostensibly a worker who told Hope to vacate the area immediately

Well. It seems pretty likely that the man in the hazmat suit was Thomas, and that he survived the ordeal of falling in the vat. He may have managed to climb out of the vat and discard his wet clothes, putting on the hazmat suit when Hope came along. He might have decided on the spot to conceal his identity from Hope to make her think that he perished in the “acid” so that he could enact some plot against her.

And if that’s the case, it would certainly comport with other B&B spoilers indicating that Thomas will turn up during the week of November 18th, when he makes his next bold move against the Logans. It would be a very “Thomas” thing to do to go off into hiding and let Hope squirm for a few days thinking that she had killed him.

Of course, for Thomas’ family, things will get tense when Thomas doesn’t return texts or calls. B&B spoilers indicate that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in particular will get increasingly worried as Thomas seems to be missing in action. But then again, it won’t be the first time that Thomas has run off, and they won’t really have any reason to think that there’s been foul play and that Thomas could be in trouble.

But of course Hope will now think that Thomas is dead, and according to B&B spoilers, she’ll keep her suspicions about what may have happened to Thomas between herself and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang). In fact, Brooke will urge Hope to keep quiet about what might have happened and tell her not to feel guilty about it at all.

This all sets up an interesting scenario for Thomas’ return. Will he plot revenge on Hope and Brooke? Of course, he’s disliked Brooke for a long time now, but now that Hope manipulated him and took actions that could have cost him his life, he’ll likely be gunning for her as well.

And then there’s the issue of the custody papers, which Thomas signed shortly before the incident between him and Hope on the catwalk. Thomas might use his time away to scheme about how to fully reclaim custody of Douglas from Hope. He could certainly come back and accuse her of fraud for promising a relationship with him in return for him sighing the papers. Or he may have something more devious in mind. Whatever the case, something tells us that he’ll try to make Hope pay for what she did.

Of course, if Thomas finds out that Hope and Brooke are in cahoots to keep what Hope did a secret, then he’ll be sitting on a goldmine. That’s information that could ruin Brooke’s marriage with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) for good – and Thomas would certainly know that. But it’s also information that could potentially ruin Hope’s relationship with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), too. Thomas would probably love to blow up both relationships as part of his revenge plan.

At any rate, it will be interesting to see what Thomas has in store and exactly when he’s going to make the big reveal that he’s alive to Hope. How do you think that he’ll make his presence known?
