‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Thomas’ Sneaky Plan – Hope Pushes Liam To See Steffy

Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that the recast Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) isn’t like the old Thomas, as played by Pierson Fode. Jumping headlong into what can accurately be described as a juvenile scheme, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) is being emotionally manipulated into believing that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is desperately needed in Paris, France.

B&B fans know that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is away with Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington) and her new, adopted, sister, Phoebe Forrester (Isabella de Armas and Redford Prindiville). Steffy needed to be written off for awhile due to Wood’s real life delivery of her baby boy.

Thomas was able to obtain video of Kelly through Amelia (Nicola Poesener). Steffy’s hired nanny apparently wasn’t assigned a last name by the show, or so it seems. That is true of some side characters.

Thomas’ treatment of Amelia is wrong, in that he’s playing off her being fond of him. His request that she forward cell phone video of Kelly repeatedly asking for her dad was not part of a plan to get together when Amelia returns to Los Angeles, California, with Steffy and the girls in the near future.

No, Thomas received said video and then rushed over to Lope’s log cabin. As part of the storyline, B&B had Hope and Liam reconnect romantically just before Thomas arrived. With Liam lured away by his brother Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) text, Thomas then fast-forwarded his plan.

Leading with an invented sketch that Thomas created, as though it was Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri), Hope was subsequently given the video to view. The intent was to make her urge Liam to fly off to Paris, leaving her alone and vulnerable.

It’s fair to critique the rushed-write of Thomas’ drive to revive a relationship with Hope as somewhat unbelievable. The various factors mentioned were necessary to make this unseemly effort plausible.

Douglas is a smart young man. At some point he’s going to be asked about the sketch and will surely not recognize it.

Thomas drew the stick figure hand-hold in front of Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), who he took into his confidence regarding his attempts to separate Hope from Liam. Considering Sally’s ties to all involved, she stands as the lead person who can expose Thomas’ efforts.

Hope and Liam are generally wise to ways of the world, despite some of their idealistic views. They are both likely to figure out what Thomas is doing.

Whether that happens before Liam potentially reconnects with Steffy is worth questioning. Considering the emotional threshold Hope just crossed with her husband, Thomas could be simply be shut down by Mrs. Spencer before his plan goes much farther.
