Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) remains guarded on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. He does not trust Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), or believe that he’ll do what’s right for Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) in either the short or long-term.

The conversation Thomas had with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) at the cabin further revealed how unhinged Atkinson’s character remains. His twisted feelings overwhelmed his mind while she was trying to talk logically to him. B&B’s sharp camera cuts and music overlay allowed viewers to enter Thomas’ mind, which proved, as before, to be scary.

Thomas’ obsessive feelings for Hope return when he’s with her. Noelle’s character isn’t naive to that factor, but is hopeful that he’ll do what’s best for his son. Liam, like Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), knows that Thomas remains a threat to all involved.

Hope made the best pitch she could. Seeking to reduce tensions, she wanted a one-on-one conversation with Thomas. So, Brooke returned to her main house, leaving the parental rights’ papers behind for Thomas to sign.

The initial feelings Thomas expressed were genuine, in that he told Hope how sorry he was for all that happened. But saying that he was going to spend the rest of his life trying to prove to her that he was wrong revealed that Thomas believes they’ll have an ongoing connection.

Thomas’ idea, in its purest form, was warm-hearted. He wanted Douglas to have another mother, with Hope being both guy’s top choice.

But Douglas was manipulated into forming a bond with Hope, as part of Thomas’ plan to marry her. While ‘Thope’ was realized, it wasn’t what Hope, or Thomas wanted. But, as Hope noted, she did come to love Douglas and does want to be his mother, as Thomas initially wanted.

Brooke believes that her plan for ‘Lope’ to adopt Douglas will bring what’s best. He’d then live in a safe environment, be cared for by two loving parents, and have a sister in Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson).

Surprisingly, Thomas is considering Brooke’s idea, but only because it would be a grand gesture that he could offer to Hope.

Surely, Thomas will be encouraged to not relinquish his parental rights. Ridge’s goal is to heal his family, not turn control over one of its youngest members to Hope, Liam and Brooke.
