What we’re being told by our inside source at CBS is that TPTB wants to bring back an established character with ties to several other characters. The rumor is that Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) is being considered as a long term replacement for Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) in Ridge’s life.

The move makes sense since Ridge and Taylor have a history. Adding fuel to the fire that it’s time for Taylor to return is news that their daughter Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is set to embark on a big romance.

The relationship is said to be one that comes with some sort of issue, so having her mom to confide in is a no-brainer for show execs.

Taylor Hayes debuted in 1990 when Hunter Tylo came to B&B. In 2002 the character died but it was a soapy death, meaning news of her demise was premature. Taylor reappeared among the living in 2004!

She is a psychiatrist so her counseling skills may be needed for whoever it is that Steffy is set to get involved with. While Taylor has confronted issues of her own, this hasn’t seemed to stop her from freely giving advice when asked.
