The target is Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) compassion. She’s come to care for Douglas, as though he were her own. That’s why she went so far as to formally adopt Thomas’ child, becoming Douglas’ legal mother with co-equal parenting rights.
Now, as Thomas’ faux nuptials to Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) arrive, the Douglas card is being played again. The goal is to switch brides, but Hope knows something that the man who’s obsessed with her doesn’t.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Douglas Forrester Acting Like His Father
Samiri, like Atkinson, is a superb actor. This young man clearly ranks with the best child actors on daytime. His performances are consistent, believable, and engaging.
As for Douglas, he likes Zoe, but doesn’t want her to replace the woman he’s come to think of as his mommy. So, he’s on board with his daddy’s request to act up at the wedding.
The intent is to derail the rushed ‘Thoe’ wedding, with Hope replacing Zoe as Thomas’ bride at some point. Atkinson’s character remains so insecure that he feels Hope’s love can only be won through deception, which includes leveraging the genuine parental relationship she’s developed with Douglas. That said assessment is very sobering.
B&B Spoilers – Hope Logan’s Intel Changes Game
Hope now knows that Thomas was behind the infamous backyard cliff house kiss. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) continued to rehash the orchestrated incident, as viewers repeatedly saw, which led her to tell Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) the truth. He, in turn, had Steffy tell Hope.
Hope wasn’t sure if Thomas actually had developed feelings for Zoe, which is why he was intent on getting married. All benefit of the doubt has been erased by what Hope has learned.
Steffy’s admission gives Hope the ability to protect Douglas, Zoe, and herself. B&B fans are looking forward to seeing how Noelle’s character works to counter someone who claims to love her, but actually behaves like a nemesis would.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Thomas Forrester Fights, Or Takes Flight
Thomas has worked, underhandedly. In so doing he’s intentionally negatively affected the lives of family members and people who are friends to him. Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) intentionally over-protective response to so many of his son’s actions, in particular, is a key reason why Thomas has acted without fear of real reprisal.
Thomas doesn’t always fight back when faced with failure. Instead, he’s run away on occasion. The flight response could happen again, as Hope’s stern stance against him will become known and Thomas’ reaction likely won’t be to fold.
