Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Vincent Irizarry Teases New B&B Role

Vincent Irizarry (Dr. Jordan Armstrong)

Veteran daytime actor Vincent Irizarry has joined the cast of “The Bold and the Beautiful” on a recurring role as Dr. Jordan Armstrong, who is expected to sow more intrigue amidst the ongoing baby swap storyline. His character will make his first appearance on August 26, and many have been wondering what drama he will bring to the show.

When asked about what to expect from his new role, he simply teased, “I’m open to whatever they throw my way. We’ll leave it at that.”

Vincent Irizarry Played Different Doctor Roles

In an earlier interview with TV Insider, it was revealed that he learned about the role after the show’s executive producer Brad Bell reached out to his representatives. When he got the part, he was excited to work with his former co-star, Thorsten Kaye, on “All My Children.”

Irizarry isn’t a novice when it comes to playing doctor roles. He played Dr. David Hayward on “All My Children” and he also portrayed Dr. Scott Clark on “Santa Barbara.” Despite having played different roles throughout his tenure as an actor, Irizarry plays every character he takes on with a blank slate.

“Even though I’ve played a doctor before, it’s not like Jordan is going to be exactly like David, because the backstory always informs who the character is,” he said. “I never worry about having to bring something different [to my portrayal] — it all stems from who the guy is and where he comes from,” he continued.

Blast From The Past

Apart from having a blast working with the cast and crew of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Irizarry is also thrilled to see some of his old castmates from “The Young and the Restless.”

He said, “It’s like one huge repertory company with all of these shows at this point.”

“I’ve been in this medium for nearly 40 years, so I’ve worked with so many people, not only the actors on the show but also people on the crew and production throughout all these years. It’s great!” he added.

His other acting credits include “Guiding Light,” where he was nominated for Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series. He also appeared on “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “One Life To Live.”
