Most Needlessly Ruined Character Of 2022: The Bold And The Beautiful’s Thomas

The Bold and the Beautiful has a bad habit of throwing Thomas Forrester under the bus and 2022 was no exception. The question remains — why?

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Wasted A Redemption

What was the point of B&B spending nearly two years trying to redeem Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) after his debacle believing that Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) was a mannequin just to throw all that down the drain? Thomas’ mannequin incident was even explained by a brain injury, so he wasn’t really a bad guy.

Over the next year, we saw Thomas try to become a responsible parent to Douglas Forrester while he also saved Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) from a life in jail. He grew tired of lies and manipulation and just wanted to put his life back together and live it honestly.

When Liam thought he would go to prison for years, he trusted Thomas so much that he asked him to look over Hope, Beth, and Douglas. Then, everything changed for no real reason.

B&B Spoilers – Why Was Thomas Forrester Ruined Once Again?

In 2022, Thomas decided he wanted Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) back in his life on a more full-time basis and for some reason, Liam completely forgot that he trusted Thomas and that Thomas saved him the year before. Instead, he railed about how bad Thomas was and always has been and was horrified that Hope trusted the man she was co-parenting with.

Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) also just wouldn’t let Thomas’ past transgressions go despite her own past transgressions that severely outnumber his. She relentlessly bashed Thomas and let him know she didn’t think he could ever be a fit father.

Rather than Thomas trying to prove himself as a dad, B&B took Thomas’ entire redemption arc and threw it out the window, making Brooke right just so Brooke could be right.

Thomas being the one to call CPS on himself and frame Brooke for the incident ruined nearly two years of character growth in one fell swoop? It was pointless and negated so much story that it left our heads spinning. Thomas doesn’t look like a fit father now and for what? So Brooke could have some pain and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) could feel like a fool? No thanks.

Stay tuned to The Bold and the Beautiful weekdays to see if Thomas ever gets a redemption arc again.
