B&B fans recall that Ridge and Shauna took a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada because Kaye’s character wanted to learn more about his potential significant other’s backstory. What took place on the night when Brooke sent a Forrester Creations pilot to retrieve Ridge in Vegas remains unknown, though buzz indicates that he and Shauna may have been married. With whatever happened, he woke up in Brooke’s house the next morning.

It wouldn’t seem overly intriguing to see Brooke and Ridge’s marriage repaired, while Shauna is cast off. Why would B&B have gone to such lengths to create the character Richards has been playing since 2019?

However, longtime B&B viewers know that Ridge and Brooke have gone back and forth with each other on so many occasions that no seasoned fan can fully discount this pairing deciding to remain married.

Richards recently spoke to the Associated Press. The actor detailed some of the new health and safety protocols that the actors and staff are working under. Those adjustments include the use of real-life spouses and significant others in scenes where touching or romance happens.

The actor said the following regarding her and Lang’s husbands, “We were asked if our significant others would step in.” “Katherine Kelly Lang’s husband was there on my first day (as a stand-in) and then next week both he and Aaron will be there. So her husband has a wig. Aaron’s hair is very similar to Thorsten’s.”

So, it appears as though Kaye is and will be involved in close proximity scenes with both Richards and Lang. The presence of the lady’s husbands doesn’t fully confirm that the actors are only working with Kaye in their scenes and therefore need their spouses to stand-in. But that can be implied.

B&B Spoilers – Dramatic Choice Needed Shortly

After months of delay, B&B will probably write Ridge into making a choice within the first handful of episodes. That assumes Brooke and or Shauna will be open to him doing so when all three characters are seen again.

If Ridge did marry Shauna, then it would be invalid, as he’s already married to Brooke. But it’s possible that he filed the completed divorce papers before flying to Vegas.
