Poppy Was Guzzling Away
In the February 24 episode, Poppy indulged in a significant amount of alcohol, marking a striking shift in her character’s behavior. The series has consistently portrayed Poppy as someone who steered clear of drinking, which was part of the reason she turned to special mints.
Yet, after renouncing those substances, she opted for alcohol instead; at Il Giardino’s bar, Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) served Poppy several glasses of wine, as she visibly attempted to drown her sorrows.
This raises the question of whether Poppy could be on the verge of developing a drinking problem as she navigates her emotional turmoil. Since she doesn’t have her “special mints” has she switched forms of addiction?
