Even in the face of Liam cheating on Hope with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Brooke remains a Lope backer. That’s misguided because she believes Hope will definitely be overtaken by Thomas if he has an extended opportunity to prey on her.

Yes, it’s possible that might happen. But Brooke must think that Hope has no willpower or capacity to determine what’s best for her own life.

On the other hand, Liam is given extreme benefit of the doubt because Brooke thinks he is Hope’s only Mr. Right. Well, he’s been Mr. Wrong on more than one occasion and most definitely broke Hope’s trust with the recent Steam reconnect.

Hope is sorting through her feelings. She’s trying to balance the love she still holds in her heart for Liam, with his duplicitous pattern of behavior.

Yes, this wasn’t a first-time offense. B&B recaps reveal Liam has a track record of running back and forth between Hope and Steffy because he assumed each woman would always be waiting for him. Well, Steffy is with John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) now and Hope just decided that a separation would be enforced.

Brooke passionately asserted to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that she will not allow Thomas to bond with Hope. Lang’s The Bold and the Beautiful character has no impulse control when it comes to that topic, which is exactly what she says Thomas lacks in regards to Hope. Brooke said he doesn’t love Hope, but is obsessed with her.

But it is fair to see Brooke’s side or even to take it. Thomas does have an unstable history which, among other actions, included putting Rick Forrester’s (as most recently played by Jacob Young) life in jeopardy and keeping Beth Spencer’s (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) existence a secret when she was assumed to have died at birth.

Regardless of everything and Brooke’s maternal instincts, Hope is an adult and will make her own decisions. Whether she and Thomas become more than co-parents will be seen on B&B.
