The Bold And The Beautiful (B&B) Spoilers And Recap August 31: Paris Visits Finn In The Doghouse

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and recap for Tuesday, August 31, 2021 reveal that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) doesn’t feel safe in her own home anymore. She’s relieved when Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) arrives. He has distressing news of his own: Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) are back together. Steffy didn’t think the day could get any worse.

Ridge notices Steffy seems rattled and wonders where her husband is. Steffy says she asked Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) to leave. Ridge is surprised that Finn is spending the night in the guest house. She says the problem isn’t Finn, but Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Steffy couldn’t go on her trip because she had such a bad feeling about leaving. Steffy says she came home early to her worst nightmare.

Ridge is incensed to hear that Finn let Sheila come into their home and hold their baby. He’s not surprised that Finn’s father instigated the grandparent visit—there’s something off with Jack Finnegan (Ted King).

Steffy feared Sheila would kidnap the baby as the ultimate revenge on their family. Steffy hates that Sheila’s sick and twisted DNA is in her husband and son. She can’t look at her husband now without seeing Sheila’s face. Ridge tries to calm his terrified daughter.

Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) runs into a shirtless Finn in the guest house. He’s giving Steffy space after he broke her trust and failed to protect her. Finn regrets allowing Sheila to hold Hayes Finnegan without considering how dangerous it could be. Paris jumps to Finn’s defense. She encourages him not to beat himself up because of one bad decision. He didn’t ask to be Sheila’s biological son. Sheila and Jack put him in an impossible position. Paris understands why he feels connected to Sheila. Finn is mourning the loss of the idea of a relationship with his biological mother.

Finn says he trusted his father, who never steers him wrong. Paris wonders why Jack was so adamant about Finn meeting with Sheila. Finn says Jack believed he was looking out for their whole family. Finn can’t understand how he let himself be manipulated by Jack and Sheila. Now, Steffy has lost faith in him. He owed it to his wife to stay true to her wishes.

At the Forrester home, Quinn finds Eric staring glumly out the window. She suggests they take a swim and then curl up and watch a movie. When he goes to get a swimsuit, she says they don’t need anything except a few martinis. She’s hopeful that they’ll have a breakthrough with his bedroom issues. She wishes he’d confided in her sooner.

Eric feels hopeless without a solution in sight. He’s talked to doctors and psychiatrists with no progress. She says he doesn’t have to talk about it. He only needs to let her love him. She has no doubt he’ll fulfill her again, just as he always has. They kiss. Eric tenses up when she tries to get him in the mood. She says nothing ventured, nothing gained. He has to let her work her magic. She says there are other ways to reconnect, they just have to be more creative. They can do anything together, as long as they’ve got love.

Eric pulls away. He’s angry with himself for failing her. Quinn gets upset when Eric asks her to go. Quinn promises she loves and wants him and nothing will change that. Eric cries in her embrace.
