Heather Tom Shines In Standalone Episode She Writes, Directs & Acts In

Heather Tom isn’t seen as Katie Logan on the Bold and the Beautiful as much as fans would like, but she also happens to be busy doing other things on the soap, which includes writing.

Still, she’s on the cusp of celebrating 35 years on Bold, and the CBS daytime drama has found a special way to honor her and Women’s History Month.

The Thursday, March, 27 show will be a standalone episode for Tom; one where she has written, directed, and starred in. The show will focus on mother-and-daughter relationships on The Bold and the Beautiful.

This will be a historic episode, as it will mark Tom using her triple-talents for the episode. It will also be an all-women show, not only having an all-female cast, but the crew within the episode were also women only, with a female editor, stage manager, and assistant.

Tom tells Deadline, “Brad Bell actually came up to me and said, ‘This is your 35th year. You’ve been writing and directing. You’ve also been acting the whole time, and I think it would be amazing if you did all three in one show”. It sounds like it was quite the juggle for Tom, but she made it happen!

Jennifer Gareis Returns for Monumental Show

Donna Logan will be one of the six women in the “mothers and daughters” Bold episode taking place this Thursday, as Jennifer Gareis reprises the role.

In addition to Gareis and Tom, Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan), Annika Noelle (Hope Logan), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester), and Rebecca Budig (Taylor Hayes) will be a part of this historic show.
