The Bold and the Beautiful Filming Update: Darin Brooks Shares New Update

CBS The Bold and the Beautiful was back to filming, but had to take a brief break just one day later. Production was supposed to start back up again this week. So, have the cast and crew returned to work yet? Actor Darin Brooks, who portrays Wyatt Spencer, shared an update regarding production.

B&B First Soap To Restart Production

As previously reported, COVID-19 caused production to shut down around the world. What was thought to be an interruption of a few weeks turned into nearly four months of actors brainstorming quarantine creativity activities.

Last week, The Bold and the Beautiful was confirmed to be the first American soap to restart production. However, things took a worrying turn just one day later.

Filming Takes ‘Brief Pause’ After One Day

When filming stopped after just one day, fans were worried that it got shut down. There were also concerns about test results. This stemmed from the vague explanation that they were modifying COVID-19 testing procedures. Then, another report stated that they had a high volume of testing to get done.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Lab Issues Resolved

However, it was later revealed that the lab B&B was using came back with several false positives. The health department got involved and requested documentation. They changed labs and everything was good again. It was made clear that production was not shut down. It was a voluntary move so they could gather all the required documentation.

Darin Brooks Update: First Day Back On Set!

So, production was supposed to start back up this week. So, has it happened or is there another delay? Good news, fans! Darin Brooks posted on Instagram that today was his first day back on set. That’s right, filming has started back up again! The Bold and the Beautiful actor wrote,

“Back at it! Day 1! Good to be back! ❤️ you all! #SetLife @boldandbeautifulcbs”

Along with the filming update, Brooks also shared a picture of himself getting ready to get to work. He looks absolutely thrilled to be back on set!

The brief pause shouldn’t delay new episodes being broadcast very much. Plus, executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell told Soap Opera Digest that they are trying to get new episodes to viewers as quickly as possible. He estimated that we might see new scenes on our television screens in just a few weeks.
