The Bold and the Beautiful didn’t air a new episode on Friday, April 10, 2020. Instead, a flashback episode was shown. In this installment, which was from 2014, Annika Noelle didn’t play the character yet. Her predecessor was Kim Matula. Fans have been pretty vocal about which actress they prefer in the part. So, we have to ask — which version of Hope do you prefer?
The Introduction of Hope Logan
When Matula first was cast on B&B in 2010, her character was named Hope Fuller. Later, that changed to Hope Logan and she portrayed the character until 2016. Her last air date was December 12, according to Soaps.com and she did make a few guest appearances. However, executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell was hopeful to recast the role as she was a “critical and central character to the show.”

In 2018, the role of Hope was handed to Annika Noelle and she still plays the character today. However, there are those that love the actress, and others who have never quite warmed up to her. But that is always a risk when recasting a soap character.
Still Pining After Liam Spencer All These Years
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that not much has changed for Hope since Matula left the role and Noelle picked it up. Until a few weeks ago, there was still a love triangle between Hope, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). As fans recall, Steffy told the truth about the “Steam” kiss and that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was responsible. Steffy then urged Hope to forgive Liam and that it wasn’t his fault.

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Fans Debate
On social media, fans have been debating over whether they prefer Matula or Noelle in the role. Nobody has anything against Noelle as an actress, but everyone has their own unique “acting style.”
In a message forum on Soaps.com, one indicated that Matula was able to get viewers to see all sides of the character. However, with Noelle, she allegedly always has a “deceptive” look about her. While some agree with this, others didn’t and love Annika as Hope.

I also miss Kim as Hope. She made her much more interesting. It seems like Annika is playing the role of Hope as who she thinks Hope should be. I think it’s based off her own personality.
Kim brought a liveliness to the role that you can’t sense anymore. It’s weird how Hope completely changed. I bet you old Hope wouldn’t put up with new Thomas! Maybe they’d be conniving and sleeping together. Who knows!
Bring back Kim, she made a much better Hope. Can’t stand Annika, her character is to whiny and a crybaby, not enough backbone and too much like Brooke the know it all
