The Bold and the Beautiful star Matthew Atkinson, who is best known for his role as Thomas Forrester on the hit CBS soap, did hint that he wouldn’t mind playing the next Jason Morgan on General Hospital. As many daytime television viewers know, actor Steve Burton was forced out of his job as Jason Morgan on General Hospital back in 2021 because he refused to comply with the ABC network’s vaccine mandate. Since then, he’s managed to find work on Days of Our Lives, but the role of Jason has been left unfulfilled. Well, now Thomas has said that it was always a dream of his to play the character!

When asked what role he would like to play, Thomas said the answer was an easy one. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the handsome actor puts it this way, “I never watched soaps growing up, but I’m going to say, because it was one of my mom’s favorite character, Jason from General Hospital which is so weird because I got to work with Steve Burton on The Young and the Restless and my mom was so thrilled about that.”

GH Spoilers – Should Matthew Atkinson Make The Jump To Port Charles?

As many fans probably remember, Thomas played Austin for a short time in Genoa City. Now, whether he does make the jump to Genoa City remains to be seen, but for now it seems like he’s very happy playing the villain Thomas Forrester in the fictional town of Los Angeles that the Forrester, Logan and Spencer legacy families reside in. Still, it would be interesting to see him play everyone’s favorite hero in Port Charles, right? Someone, make it happen!
