Even though a lot of disgruntled fans were none too happy about the ongoing baby swap saga, it looks like The Bold and the Beautiful viewers have been tuning in at record numbers. Either they were loving all of the suspense or clearly wanted to see what would happen next. Either way, new reports say that the hit CBS soap has been enjoying record high ratings. Here’s what you need to know.
The Bold and the Beautiful News – The Best Ratings Yet
According to CBS Soaps in Depth, The Bold and the Beautiful achieved something that they have never managed to do before and that’s outscore all of the other soaps in the Women 25-54 demo in the United States. For the longest time it was their CBS sister soap The Young and the Restless that managed to stay at the top. This demo also included other soaps, game shows and talk shows.
The Bold and the Beautiful News – Hope Finally Has Her Baby
A lot of fans were waiting for the August 5th storyline, in which Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) finally got to learn that their baby Beth was alive and well. Even though a handful of people including Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) had desperately tried to keep this secret to themselves, it was Liam who was able to put the pieces together.
Of course, it was a moment that everyone was desperately waiting for. The Bold and the Beautiful fans have made it no secret that they were tired of seeing hope grieve a baby that she thought she had lost. Little did she know that her baby was actually Baby Phoebe, who Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had adopted. It was Liam who figured that something wasn’t right and after finding out that Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) had never given birth to begin with, he was able to find out the truth and reunite his beautiful family of three.

Well it’s about time the baby switch to come out cause I was about to throw them under the bus. I wish B&B would have a hourly show , yes iam enjoy it now. so keep it moving , don’t feel sorry for Stephen she got her baby let hope enjoy what she lost time with her baby ,lock all them up except Xander.

Yes, but was frustrated at how many times the reveal was hinted at then didn’t happen. thank goodness for record button because I was able to ff threw the nonsense. I caught up right before the reveal so I could see it happening. It was final relief. The anguish when she lost Beth and the joy on Hope’s face was very telling. Hope and Liam have so much special chemistry. I am also a Steffy fan but, she doesn’t have that type of chemistry with Liam. Steffy does need a love interest she can invest herself into. I hope B&B doesn’t drag out Steffy’s sadness, it doesn’t compare to what Hope has been through. Please don’t minimize Hope’s grief to Steffy’s loss.

It is ok but I would not say that I am loving BandB. Wrap this storyline up with the deranged Thomas and focus on something else. I rather that he be gone for good so that he will not have to be a problem for anyone else.

I think what kept many viewers tuned is was Steffy’s reaction to losing Phoebe to Hope and knowing that the idea of having “Phoebe” as her child to raise was now and forever a dream never to be seen, she will never name another child Phoebe so that is a total devastating loss never to be recovered. We always knew Hope would get Beth back so that was not a surprise one bit, and we needed to confirm that Liam was definately an ass. No regrets left there to see his ass go. Now, we absolutely know where Liam and Hope stand. They are no longer needed on any story. Steffy however, must overcome this and become the true matriarch of the family and be as strong and fierce as her grandmother. But this time accomplish what she couldn’t, the removal of the Logans from their day lives.
What did you do with Liam’s spine. He is with the wrong woman hope steffy will get rid of him once and for all. Why should that hugly hope and her mom get everything they want all the time. Give Liam back is balls.

It would seem that according to the HIGHEST ratings data, that there are a lot of folks out there that do not remember or never KNEW what the strength of this soap was. This baby thing has been beaten to death and “entertains” a small number of fans because there is NO meat to the story line. IF there were a way to review past story lines…since Brooke became a lab person at FC to the present, everyone would see the POWER this soap once had. The characters were strong and the story lines were constantly challenging the viewer with “cliff hangers” that kept the fan base coming back daily and keeping them loyal. Sure there were some lines that questioned the fan base intelligence but not like the ones of recent production. B&B can recoup its fans IF it will produce story lines in line with the main reason WHY FC is in existence in the first place and promote more of those fashion headline breaking shows and surprises and shockers that we were once attracted to. There can be divisiveness, mystery, extreme happiness and celebration, darkness , and all the other captivating lines instead of baby sitting for 30 min. each day hoping for SOMETHING….ANYTHING….to happen to wake us up. I shall continue to watch ONLY to see IF there are any changes made AWAY from babysitting to ADULT lines that keep us locked in to see what happens next. Babysitting is the same old howling and mewing and then sending the kids off to boarding school, never to be seen again or like R J.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the Logans aren’t going anywhere, in fact, haven’t you noticed, the Forresters are being diminished. Phoebe is dead, Thomas is crazy, Steffy basically folds baby clothes, Thorne left, Felicia and Kristen haven’t been seen in years..but the Logan family keeps expanding.

I just do not understand why Thomas is still out and could pose a threat to Hope or Liam or worse their baby. Kill him off and be done with him because Hope and Liam deserves to enjoy their reunion with Beth. I think that they have been through enough grief and I hate the fact that Thomas crazy arse is still obsessing over Hppe. Leave Hope and Liam alone PLEASE.

I agree, my speculation and opinion BASED on being a constant viewer since the early 70’s. I think…my opinion again….that after all those years of being a “student” of human nature, logic, story line, and what makes the audience respond positively makes me a legit consumer and sharer of strengths and weaknesses of this show. When you watch and see the fan base response to a very poor story line, comments to gain attention and hopefully bring about a change in the process is a good thing. Just my opinion. Sorry we can’t see eye to eye on what is working and what is not.

Thomas definitely tampered with the car. I think it needs to come out to everyone. Flo needs to admit that Thomas threatened her.
