The Bold and the Beautiful News: Rome Flynn Scores New Primetime Job

Known as Zende Forrester in “The Bold and The Beautiful”, Rome Flynn joins the upcoming primetime series on Netflix called “Family Reunion.”

The new series, created by Meg DeLoatch, focuses on the story of a mother, Cocoa McKellan (Loretta Devine), the matriarch of the M’Dear family, as they travel from the West Coast to the Midwest for a family reunion, where they will meet their extended family.

In Flynn’s new primetime gig, he will be working with stars like Anthony Alabi, Tia Mowry, and Loretta Devine who’s known for her roles in “Grey’s Anatomy” and “The Carmichael Show.” The other cast members include Talia Jackson, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Cameron J. “J” Wright, and Jordyn Raya James. The multi-generational live action comedy series will be directed by Eric Dean Seaton.

In a statement released by Melissa Cobb, the Vice President of Kids and Family at Netflix, she said, “We look forward to bringing families together to enjoy the hilarious and heart-warming stories of this multi-generational family living together and discovering the importance of connecting with their roots.”

The actor joined the sudser in 2015 as Zende Forrester Dominguez, which was last portrayed by Daniel Smith, and left in 2017. He announced his departure in a live Instagram chat and made it clear that it was his decision to leave the soap.

He also expressed gratitude to his fans for their continued support. Some may have believed his explanation but there were others who weren’t so sure if that was the real reason behind his departure. There were speculations that his story evolved too quickly and that it was too much, too soon for the fans.

Flynn’s exit from “The Bold and the Beautiful” didn’t come as a surprise to the avid viewers of the soap. His character didn’t have that much storyline after Zende (Flynn) and Nicole (Reign Edwards) got married.

While waiting for the airing of the new series, fans of Rome Flynn can catch him on other top rated TV series like “The Haves and the Have Nots” where he plays RK and in “How to Get Away with Murder” as Gabriel.
