The Bold and the Beautiful News: Thorsten Kaye Sets Up DIY Ice Skating Rink, Shares Hockey Fun With Neighborhood

The Bold and the Beautiful star Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester) is a huge hockey fan. So, when it gets cold, he goes the extra mile and sets up a do-it-yourself ice skating rink. It’s not just for his own family’s enjoyment, though. He shares the excitement with the entire neighborhood. Keep reading to find out more.

B&B News: Thorsten Kaye’s Passions

Not too long ago, we reported on Kaye’s love of pubs. It turns out he has other interests as well, one of which is hockey. For the huge sports fan, he doesn’t settle for driving to a rink in winter. Instead, he sets up a DIY ice skating rink in his Connecticut yard.

Sharing the Joy of Hockey

Kaye explained to CBS Soaps In Depth that the rink isn’t just for his own enjoyment. He also doesn’t limit it to his family members. It’s something the whole neighborhood can participate in.

“We set it up every year. We also have a good hill to sled on, so having that time with the kids to run around in the snow and then drink hot chocolate — or whatever the grown-ups are going to drink after — it’s just a special time of year.

The Bold and the Beautiful actor has been known to be a homebody. So, this allows him to stay on his residential property and enjoy family time. He commented that life doesn’t get much better and he truly loves spending time with his wife, Susan Haskell, children and their puppies.

Family Is Everything

There is nothing more important than spending quality time with family. Kaye understands this and even though he’s a busy actor, he makes the time count. Plus, the fact that he allows everyone in the neighborhood to enjoy the ice skating rink really shows he has a heart of community. Perhaps we all could learn a bit and build our own hockey rinks too!
