The Bold And The Beautiful News Update: 5 Reasons Why Blow Up Dolls Won’t Work

The Bold And The BeautifulCBS The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers and updates reveal executive producer and head writer Brad Bell recently revealed that in order to adhere to the new social distancing and Covid-19 guidelines, the hit CBS soap will be using more blow-up dolls now than ever before. But will the blow-up dolls actually work or will viewers tune out after seeing them? Here are five reasons why that might happen.

#1 The Quality Of Acting Might Suffer

We know that Liam Spencer has a very hard time choosing between Hope Logan and Steffy Forrester but adds a fake blow-up doll in the mix and he’ll really be confused more than ever before. There’s some speculation that making the actors pretend like they are fighting, falling in love, crying next to, or begging forgiveness from something that you can deflate within a matter of minutes will prove to be quite a challenge.

#2 The Lack Of Chemistry

If there’s one thing that The Bold and the Beautiful fans love about the hit CBS soap, it’s all of the passion, the excitement, and the chemistry between the ridiculously good looking actors. Let’s face it, fans would rather see Bill Spencer and Steffy Forrester get it on, or better yet Shauna Fulton and Ridge Forrester in bed, making Brooke Logan insanely jealous rather than any of these actors replaced with a blow-up doll. The end result just isn’t the same when you are kissing something that is plastic rather than someone who will kiss you back.

#3 The Camera Angles Might Not Always Work

Brad Bell told Soap Opera Digest during a new interview that they are going to be trying new, creative ways to incorporate the blow-up dolls in order to avoid the actors touching one another but to still keep the passion alive in this fictional town of Los Angeles. In other words, there will be a lot of different camera angles and tricks used, but they might not always work.

#4 All It Takes Is One Filming Error

While blow-up dolls were certainly used in many episodes in the past, they won’t be used to the extent that they will be now. Is the daytime television world even ready for it? While viewers will certainly learn the answer to that question real soon, a lot of B&B longtime fans believe that we will be seeing more gaffes than ever before. All it takes is one filming error to expose a fake blow-up doll that is supposed to look like a real Flo Fulton, but just without the speaking.

#5 Fans Want The Real Thing

While there’s no doubt that the Covid-19 pandemic has changed life for everyone as we know it, proper precautions must be taken in order for everyone to help stop the spread of the virus. The daytime television world is no different. Sure, fans want the real thing rather than seeing Wyatt Spencer make out with something that is supposed to resemble Sally Spectra but is just full of air.

Unfortunately for those who don’t like the idea of seeing their favorite actors share screen time with blow-up dolls, they are here to stay, or at least until the world has a safe way to help eradicate or control the virus. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come!

I think this is ridiculous. We aren’t going to see that it’s a blowup? OMG cancel this soap now. It’s bad enough and then to add blowup dolls???????. Maybe we could just fade to black like they did in the old days. It was better that way anyway and you didn’t see bimbos in their underwear. I know, I’m showing my age.

Not only will this be disterous, it’ll be hilarious! This show is bad enough. Why has more junk.
